So today I had to take off my door panel to work on wiring going to my mirror for my home made puddle light. Does anyone know what piece goes inside the door in this location? When I tried to put the push type clip back in, that piece fell down inside the door.20220820_132756.jpg

+1. I also put a tarp on the bottom for easier clean up as well.

Picked up an OEM oil filter, 6 quarts of Valvoline EP 5w30, Valvomax drain plug, and a K&N cabin filter.

Also grabbed some high temp paint for the rear hubs.

    Maintenance is paramount.

It's a black push pin that sits inside of another black receptacle thingy. Basically, the receptacle thingy goes in first then the push pin goes in the center of that and holds it in place. It's just like the black push in retainer clips holding the front grill on only smaller.

You've probably dropped both pieces in the door or on the ground somewhere.

Those are nice, but I was thinking cheaper like the Garmin tandem for the front and Garmin mini 2 for the rear or maybe this 4k Kenwood system...

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DRVA601/Kenwood-DRV-A601WDP.html

Garmin has voice recognition, but it's not 4k resolution. :notsure:

From the other videos I seen on removal and re-installation, you need to find the piece that went into the door, then re-insert it into the body of the clip. The thin inner part simply gets pushed back in so it's flush with the clip body that forces the sides of the clip body to move outward and thus holds your door panel to the door frame.

The clips used in the door panels are very common. Take a pic of the one in the other door and measure the hole size. Then source from Amazon. You should be able to find a variety pack or purchase a container of the exact ones easily.

Yea I guess I should have looked at the other door but it started raining. I have the piece that pushes in the hole, its what's on the other side of the metal panel that fell out. I'm not sure I can figure out by looking at the other door if it's on the backside of the metal but I'll give it a shot. At least I didn't lose any of the clips that hold the sail panel on.......this time.

Edit. So I just got a big laugh out of this scenario. The rain stopped so I went outside and looked at the passenger side and pulled out the push pin. There wasn't anything on the other side of the metal panel where the pin goes in. So I popped out the center of the pin and put it back. Then I went to the drivers side and looked at the hole again and there is a white piece of something on the other side of the hole where the push pin goes in. Guess what...it's one of the clips from the sail panel that I lost a while back that just got caught up in there...lol. Just left it there and popped out the center of the push pin and put it back in. Held just fine. Guess when I went to put it in originally, the old clip was in the way and I thought I had pushed something through the hole by accident. Apparently I need to get some rest. :p

Bilstein 5100's installed all around today, stock setting. Originally wanted the 4600's but they have been on backorder for some time. I'm happy tho knowing that if I did want to raise the front end a bit, I can adjust the clip setting on these.

Did a few things the past 2-3 days.

Relocated the media port for android auto / apple carplay to the center console. For my use this is more convenient.

    PXL_20220818_192634602.MP.jpg

Turned the original USB port on the dash to charge only, and added an extra USB port on the top of the dash on my DMM from the Taco Garage. The new USB ports are powered by a power outlet fuse tapped and installed near the driver fuse box

    PXL_20220820_204945652.MP.jpg

Also installed a Switch Pros 9100. Now I can spend some more money on accessories.

Negative, I have a RWD Sport. I found the Sport suspension to be too stiff for my liking. I do appreciate the handling characteristics of it, but it definitely was too stiff. I would've replaced with Bilstein 4600's but they've been on backorder forever and I have a road trip coming up. I'm diggin the 5100's however although body roll has increased a bit.

For the time being its going to just run on the pro suspension I have (1.5 inch eibach lift springs installed). I am 2.5 inches lifted from stock. Im going to put some wider wheels on and some 32 inch tires.
Eventually I want to put some long travel suspension, but I dont offroad much more than what I need to get to my fishing spots. Though winter time can make some fun "offroad" onroad driving.
