Update to transmission rebuild. It appears to be working as in it moved the tires in forward and reverse, shifted into second and first. We figure it might behoove us to see if we can get some brake pedal before we road test it.:)
Hope everyone having a great day. It's beautiful weather here today.

A coworker welder dude purchased one at auction for little more than a song. He took the utility box off it and bought a regular box. He's since had it all repainted a beautiful metallic green and white two tone. I'll post some pictures one day. He hasn't driven it yet. It's also a '74 or '76 I don't recall. But 3/4 ton 4 speed...Tim Allen grunt material.
I just informed time for me to be brake pumper.

Test drive is done. Some troubleshooting to do. It drives, goes through all the gears fine when going easy on it but going into overdrive under load something wrong. Also, when you mash the gas it snatches back at you:rofl:
My step dad worked at a garage when he was a teenager and I remember him tell that story about a guy describing his cars malfunction.
Oh boy, all the front suspension components shot too. :bananadead:

Did a full brake fluid flush with one of those. Waited for a 20% off from Northern Tool to get it. Can’t believe how easy and straight forward it was. Just keep fluid in the Master Cylinder and you’re all set.

If Tim Dodd can get one of his Everyday Astronaut patches floating in the Cupola, a TW bumper sticker on the Orion hatch should be a cake walk

The older Chrysler automatics used a throttle valve rod or cable to tell the transmission what your foot was doing, when out of adjustment they would make the downshift either too sensitive or lazy. GM & Ford used a vacuum modulator for the same purpose.
This one might be new enough that the function is controlled electronically. :notsure:
