    you know youre slammed when:

you have to let the passenger out before you reach the curb, because the door will hit the curb when it opens.

It's all about custom rides, lowered or lifted, its all about having something cool & custom. I like them body dropped and bagged and I like them lifted. No different than street rodders or anything else, It's a custom lifestyle.

It's not my preference as far as looks go, but I sure as hell do appreciate the work that goes into bagging a truck. I think the difference is purely cultural. If you grew up where trucks were tools, you're going to like a truck that has a wide range of functionality, and looks are less important. Still important, but secondary. If you grew up and vehicles in general were just for looks and transport, that's going to be your preference.

Nothing wrong with lifted or slammed tacos, or any other kind of vehicles for that matter.

    That's my .2, for what it's worth.

Yeah my bed looks like poo. Its just base coat over filler from dragging off the last skin.I usually paint the truck around show time then use it as a truck the other 9 months a year..but she's semi retired these days.....on a side note I guess all sights have their negative nancies. Post a pic of hauling stuff and some1 will change the subject ........just to clarify my truck was not built to be a show truck nor to try to be the best taco out there .I need a truck to haul stuff and I like mintrucks so that's why I have a body dropped work truck that will haul anything a stock truck will and look cool and get into magazines also.........when's the last time you went to pick up metal, hauled scrap, or been at the motocross track and seen a bodied mini seen in mags with a bed full of shit???

Actually either extreme is just that...different. I don't care for 6" "pretty lifts" and think they can look just as foolish as 1" street scrapers..Its not like these trucks can run the Baja without major rebuilding.

But people have choices, they like attention and will go through great expense to get it.Doesn't matter if it's positive or negative as long as they don't just "blend in"

Like here practically everyone has to have a 3" lift........it's the "me too" follow the crowd thing:

Anything that is "different" from the crowd they choose to follow is deemed foolish......Approval and acceptance from their peers is paramount.

One thing I will never agree with...No vehicle can be called "sexy". Thankfully all woodies come from women not metal.

whats funny is, who is to judge what a "life style" is. If you dont like slammed trucks, then dont do it to yours. and i hate to break it to you, But people have been slamming their trucks since.....shit a long time ago. my dad has pics of his slammed toyotas when he was my age....i would consider it a life style.

Why choose between stock wheels and shiny aftermarket ones:confused: Clearly our trucks were designed to be left in their stock form.
