This is after several hours of cleanup. :anonymous:

Still moving in and cleaning up.

It's about 24x40, which I figured would be plenty but more space is never a bad thing as I'm finding out.

Said no guy ever: "This garage is too big..."

You have plenty of height, keep your eye out for some industrial pallet racking, being able to put the items you don't need much or spare parts, etc up and out of the way helps free us floor space to store additional junk...

Several years down the road you can go on prospecting adventures and find things you have no recollection of buying.

Hell I'm doing that right now as I move in, finding all kinds of stuff I didn't know I had, problem is I'm not finding some of the stuff I know I do have.

At least I got enough space in there to think now, couldn't even do that before it was too much of a mess.

I've got a couple of shelves and a sheet of plywood I put on top of them for longer term storage I intend to put that in the far right corner of the shop but I guess when the original owner put it up they intended to have a roll door on either side and so there's a 3 foot by 12 foot missing area of concrete where I would like to put the shelves. I need to fill that in before I get any more settled.

I put 2 coats on it, it’s one of those that looks good from 50’ away. I’ll get some pics when I get it back on next week.

When I was brushing the shell Cole was messing around in the shop and found this. I forgot I had it and have no idea where it came from. Need to restring it and find it a rod.

When I die my wife is having an auction, auction starts at 9:30, right after the 9:00 funeral. Food will be served :D

Yeah, it doesn't quite work though, it's only a 7k lb and it's from the 1980's a Bondhaus as far as I can figure out IIRC, have what I researched scribbled down somewhere. All the labels are either missing or no longer legible, I was hoping it was an Atlas by the color scheme but definitely not.

The RH ram leaks like a sieve when it reaches the 2nd stage which is only at about 3 feet up, it might be rebuildable but there's more issues; somewhere in it's unknown history the arm swivel locking pawls were removed and I can't find replacements. Looking into possibly retrofitting some some Atlas ones with my welder but it may be more logical to simply buy a newer lift that I can get parts for if needed.

    Shipped the 33 platinum back.
    Very disappointed..

Good morning to you too. Just came across this thread and I’m going to have to start from the beginning. Only read the first page. I run cnc machines but I actually machine glass. My company makes optical filters for blocking different wavelengths of light.

    Welcome :hattip:

Glass work has always amazed me, show us some photos of what you do when you have time

We have one glass customer we do some repair work for and have made several carts for them through the years.

I will post some when I’m back at work. Not as cool as some of the stuff on here. The glass is mostly round and flat. Because it’s glass the machine floods it with coolant so you can’t see much of the machining itself. Cutting, coring, and a little milling. We have an in-house machine shop the one guy runs. He’s very good at what he does.

Yeah this one has a cable that may be out of adjustment and another possibility might be the band in the front is a little too tight.
    Goodmorning crew :pccoffee:
At least the install went well and no leaks whatsoever

Welcome to shop time! Are these filters used for measuring?
