Today I found my unicorn, a Tacoma Limited Army Green Long bed. It's in the Southeast region, and dealer says it should be delivered roughly 2nd week of October. Put money down, so now it has my name on it. Being in the southeast region, I guess I'm dependent on the dealer for any information. I'll need to book a flight when the time comes, then a 1,200-mile drive home. Started putting deposits down back on December 14th, and local dealers could not come up with a truck. I'm not going to hold my breath; I'll believe it's real once I have keys in hand.

Talked to my vehicle services guy in the plant I work in who looked it up and confirmed that my truck has a build date of 8/27. He also gave me a 4-6wk duration between build completion and delivery. So finally some progress!

You need your VIN and the dealer provided key (that part in the URL didn’t stay blue when I typed my message but it’s still required). If you ask your dealer for the vspec link they should know what that is. At least mine did.

Congrats! Good to hear I’m not the only one crazy enough to travel. My unicorn is a 4WD Access Cab Automatic with both the Premium off-road and Technology packages in Army Green (1st choice) or Lunar-Rock (2nd choice). They just don’t exist between the Rockies and Pennsylvania and every dealer either flat out refused out of state sales or charged $3-5K in market adjustments and/or add-on warranties, etc. With some help I found everything in my 2nd choice color 650 miles from here. It was being built that day and should be here in 15-30 days. Paid only $1K above the MSRP + $299 my local dealer sells for, but he said it was unlikely he would ever get one (and he is the largest volume dealer in my metro area). Just costs me a plane ticket and gas home. The dealer is even going to pick me up at the airport!

First post on the forum-can’t believe how helpful this thread has been. Have an Army Green OR coming in for the wife.

@Rod03 would you mind looking into this VIN for me?

    Anyway to check on
    • 3TMAZ5CN4NM187665
Put my deposit down June 1st, delivery was supposed to be July 1st, then July 25th, then August 23rd, now they're saying in September. Went from temporary vin to the one above.
    Temp vin was 3TMAZ5CN0NM18C452.

    Thank you either way.

Must be SE Toyota, I can only see the spec sheet. Looks like it was build on 06/04, a lot of those were delay for no apparent reason. Some have started to move.
