I am thinking about taking orders for custom iPad or other tablet dash mods. I will list some pics of my ipad dash mod. I am only gauging interest first before I would start taking orders. All iPad orders would be custom built with Soundman iPad Kits. Please message me if interested.

I'm more curious about the pictures. Is that a mount for an old fashioned single-stack head unit?

This would be a cool idea. Couple questions though:
-Would there be a way to incorporate any reverse and panoramic view camera systems built into the truck?
-What would be the estimated cost for this kit?
-Im not up to date on Apple product connectivity, but presumably would your iPhone be connected to the iPad?
-Would the iPad need to be manually turned off and on every time you got in and out of the truck?

As nice as that sounds, the last thing I want mounted in my dash on a hot day is a lithium ion battery. :/

That is a Sony RSX-GS9, top of the line sound quality deck. The deck is made to be ran into a DSP(digital sound processor) it is a preamp deck strictly for SQ, no internal amp. The ipad kits can be cut to fit any sized deck behind them. I am just running the sony rsx-gs9, so I have just have a single din cutout

I am still using my backup camera, I use a wifi camera transmitter that sends the picture to my ipad.
    Basically a unit like this.

-The reverse part I answered in above question.
-The estimated cost depending on which ipad, i would like to do just minis, even though I am getting ready to change mine to the ipad pro and when I do that i will post pics just waiting to get a new stereo dash piece in. The cost would be around $1100ish, including the dash kit which is around $250-$300. Most installers that are doing these all charge around $1500.
-you can leave the ipad in or take it out, the ipad will turn of with ignition. You dont have to have a deck behind it you could have an amp that is bluetooth compatible and stream your music via bluetooth wirelessly or you could have a deck
-my phone is connected to my deck via bluetooth for calls

I have never had a problem and I have my ipad installed since 2019. Only problem on very hotdays is it my turn off from over heating when you first get in but usually about 3 mins of A/C fixes thst problems

Check out soundman.co and you will see the kits. The only thing in the kit is the ipad tray that would be fabricated to your dash. Which on average takes me about 10-12 hours per ipad. Lots of body work. The radio and ipad you have to buy. The deck you see in my pictures cost me $1400 bux by itsself, but you can get any deck you want

ok so just to be clear - your $1100ish covers you buying the Sandman kit and a Tacoma dash and joining them together to make it look OEM? Radio, iPad, and other electronics would be on the buyer separately?

or to say it with pictures - I give you $1100, I get this in return?
