Bought the Tacoma because Ford is incapable of building my Bronco. Ordered 3/21 still waiting. Going to sell it as soon as it gets built if the market is still in demand. If not I’ll let the dealership keep it. Actually have two on order. Base model (2door) and a Black Diamond (2 door). Also have a Maverick being built this coming week. Won’t be keeping is either.

It's all in what "YOU" want, like etc... Your paying for it. Strictly my opinion due to previous experience...Ford and I do not get along. I owned a couple and they were horrible in everyway. My last vehicle was a GMC Acadia. Wonderful vehicle but wanted a truck. After much reading and learning, I bought my Tacoma. No regrets here.

All I ever owned were Fords and Toyota’s(mostly Fords) but I can honestly say I wouldn’t touch a new Bronco

Just in case you haven't seen it, there is a Bronco sub heading on here that might also have some relevant info.

I have both, and they do things differently. I've taken a payload into areas that I could never do with the Bronco, but I've also gotten the Bronco into places the Tacoma would have never fit. I have both, and use both.

The only thing Ford makes I would remotely consider is the hybrid Maverick Lariat and 40mpg.

Yeah, Chryslers are untrustworthy shit no question.
I still think you'll wish you had the Squatch. Anyone posting about leaks showing up after popping the top?
I hope it works out for you.

Fun little series of words but if you like the Bronco and it suits your needs by all means go for it.

I shared a red-light with one today with dealer-plates on it and it seemed smallish, didn't think it would suit me at all.
But I'm not you and you're not me.... ( be glad ur not me LOL )

The Bronco will hold value and Tacoma's will always be there if you want to switch up again in the future.

    No shame in either vehicle.

Saw a Maverick in the parking lot yesterday as I was acquiring a slab of Salmon for the grill. Dealer plates on it as well.
Looked pretty decent for what it was but I need 6 foot bed to haul the wife's lumber and what-not.

Let us know how that Bronco works out.!

We've had our Bronco for nearly a year (Day 1 reservation. 2 door Badlands 2.7L Sasquatch with Lux package), been to the dealer 5 times already with only 6k miles. Most unreliable and unrefined vehicle we've owned. Generally poor fit and finish and interior quality IMO as well, vehicle feels rushed to production. The list goes on... Been very disappointing for a $55k vehicle.
Really not a fan of it, though I'm glad Ford came out with it to push Jeep and other manufacturers (maybe Toyota too with the next 4Runner) with their offroad capable rigs, but the Bronco has been a big disappointment for us. For perspective we've got 2 Gladiators, 4 Tacomas and a Chevy ZR2 colorado at the moment and even though the Bronco is the newest and has the most tech/features it gets driven the least of our rigs.

our ford dealer in the dealer group has replaced 6 of the bigger broncos engines (not the sports... those are piles too though)

theyre not looking like long term reliability vehicles.

8 years at the toyota dealer? one 3.5 taco failure (but tons of leaking covers) and never seen a 2.7 fail. couple 4.0s with headgaskets over 200-300k miles.

I've had mine 10 months. 12K worry free miles and I've not been nice to it. One of the most fun vehicles I've ever owned. For $36K it's just about right. This is not the vehicle to add lux options to. If the FJ had been this much fun, I'd still have it.

Eh. I’d still take a bronco over a jeep anyday… I have a no desire for a Chrysler v6. Jeep died with the 4.0l

Yeah well, litebrite's onlyfans account is probably more informative than their Jeep channel. When we've started discussing cup holders on an off road vehicle, I think we've run out of anything serious to talk about.

    All of them.
I'd be slightly annoyed if my 60k vehicle didn't come with anything for the rear seat passengers. It's more so a design oversite. If it was designed as a strictly offroad vehicle with no creature comforts then why the cruise control and other onroad features?

I actually haven't made the decision that's why I posted the thread. Just curious about others ACTUAL experiences being shared who have already gone down the same road.

A lot of what I buy depends on my hometown dealership's reputation. In my case, the local Ford dealership has a reputation of being a little dishonest, especially to women. Example, they talked a lady into changing out her windshield washer fluid fluid for $49.95. The Nissan dealership adds nitrogen to the tires for $200 sticker markup. Maybe the Toyota dealership is no better when they push replacing the cabin air filter and SE Toyota putting the $70 phone cable package on ALL their Toyotas.

This goes a long way toward eliminating the Tacoma. Not sure a Bronco is an upgrade though. Although I do like them from what I've seen.

If you like the Bronco and are not nervous about the reliability issues the Broncos can be plagued with go for it, you mentioned I think convertible was one of the driving forces for the selection, if that is the case you really only have 2 choices, Jeep or Bronco. Personally if I needed a vehicle in this category I would buy the Jeep. I like the Bronco, I wanted to love the Bronco, but at the end of the day the Jeep has more support, cheaper repair, cheaper aftermarket parts, and you are a lot more likely to find someone that can solve a jeep problem on the trail than a bronco problem.

If you did not mention the convertible, I would say take a look at a 4 runner....or wait to see what the next Gen 4 runner and Tacoma have in store. There are already rumblings about the next gen 4 runner competing with the Bronco....(It won't have a convertible top) if true, they may go a little more off roady than the current 4 runner is.

If the Tacoma is paid for and you like it, Don't trade the tacoma, take delivery of the Bronco, if you like it, sell the Taco if you don't flip the Bronco. Thats what I would do with one vehicle I like paid off, and one I wasn't too sure about. Money washes out about the same if not better considering private sales can be more lucrative than trades.
