    @jimkav Hey, I think I got your truck' cousin. Placed request ~ 5 months ago, was notified it was allocated on Aug15th, deposit paid next day and drove it home on the 19th. Had hoped for the full tech pack with BSM but didn't want to wait another 5 months for another 6MT, AC to show up on the off chance that it might have it.

    OK, I put a deposit down on a 22 SR5, and was given the spec sheet on the vehicle. At the time the dealer had 6 Tacomas allocated for early Sept, with all pre-sold except (1), so i took the one not pre-sold!

    Rod 03 found out for me this truck is scheduled to be built tomorrow the 23rd.

    Is the above Vin a Temp of Permanent Vin?????

    someone sent me this, so Yep it’s a Temp

    • A temporary VIN will have a letter in last 6 numbers of the VIN. The 2 numbers before the letter indicate the week that the vehicle will go into production. Mine had the number 17 which meant it was tentatively being built on the 17th week.

    FYI - conflicting info in past posts about Army Green. My local dealer just told me this morning it is discontinued for 2023. Glad I jumped on my 2nd choice (Lunar Rock) instead of waiting. My desired config would never have arrived.

    Second deposit since 3/1/22, deposit made, NO allocation (different dealer).

    I was told by 3 dealers it's cause I want and refuse to change configuration

    DCLB-OR, premium -OR, and advanced tech.
