    Hello everyone My transmission been acting up lately it shifts hard on 1st and 2nd sometimes and gets stuck on 1st I was wondering if anyone had something similar and got it fixed ? Solenoids maybe

    Have you done any maintenance on the transmission? fluid drain and fills?

    Yes a transmission oil flush I just replaced the oil fluid with new

    Can you elaborate on the method you used, drain the pan and replace the fluid, disconnect the return line and empty the transmission as you refilled from above, etc.. Hopefully you didn't have a shop power flush it. Did you replace the filter, etc..

    Have you inspected the kick down cable?

    I know some folks here have successfully changed out solenoids, but you haven't really provided enough information for those guys to help you out.

    I disconnect the return line and empty the transmission as I refilled from above yes I changed the filter and no I didn't check the knockdown cable I really don't know what that is

    The knockdown cable is fine just checked not to sure what's going on the transmission fluid is to the hot mark checked it when the truck was running

    Not sure I bought it like 3 years ago and the fluid was red back then turned a lil dark after 30k miles so I did a flush and filter change
