I take it the week number in the temporary VINs are showing earlier than what is currently on the schedule.

I have a temporary VIN showing week 34; based upon a few posts on this page, I'm guessing my Tacoma won't be built in that week (which is either this week or next week, depending upon how you count). With that thought in play, does anybody know when Toyota will switch from 2022 builds to 2023 builds?

Hey Rod! I am new here and heard you may be able to track builds? I have a VIN of 3TMCZ5AN8NM31C022 that seems to be working still in the Toyota app even though I think it is temporary. I was given a build date of 8.15 but am wondering if it was delayed?

    Thanks in advance! @Rod03

Apparently been sitting at Dayton's bluff railyard for 3 weeks now just waiting to get unloaded and a semi ride to the dealership. Unfortunately, this rail worker strike only looks to be getting worse.

The last allocation had some 2023's already.

Reading between the lines here, if there is an "N" in the VIN position indicating the model year, it will be considered a 2022, regardless of when it is built; all allocations showing a "P" will be 2023s.

Where are these strikes taking place because I am not hearing anything about them down here in Tennessee?

Don't quote me on this but i was told they will likely be extending the 1.9% 48 months one more month for 2022 models until October. First 2023 models are due for delivery in October from what i understand.

Just thinking back at what my salesman told me when I made a deposit on one of their allocations! He said our Tacomas are built in Texas, is this "correct" :argue:

As far as I know, Tacomas are no longer made in Texas - until 2021 some were made in San Antonio, but that plant now makes Tundras and Sequoias. All Tacomas are assembled in Mexico now.
