How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Picking mine up tomorrow, 5 months to the day. 22 TRD Sport.

 

My status just flipped from F to G, does that mean it’s on the lot?! My dealer sent me the ETA of 8-21 to 8-26 but other than that is not very responsive. @Rod03 could you please check for me? Hopefully this is the last time:

I have had an inquiry for a TRD Pro electric lime for about a month or so now, if I haven't heard anything back at this point do you guys think I am out of luck?

I know it’s temp but was supposed to be built 8/19 and site still has temp Vin on website. Getting worried and dealer is mum.

if it goes into Port Newark that timeline sounds about right. There have been a few posts in this thread where people have posted their timelines and the boats into Newark seem to move pretty well.

 

Mine was built on 8/18 and the dealers website still shows the temp. Did you register your temp VIN on the Toyota app? My temporary VIN became invalid on Friday so I’m certain it’s been built and just waiting for Toyota to confirm the permanent VIN

 

I put my deposit down 7/29, truck was built 8/1, and today 8/22 dealer called and said it arrived!

2022 TRD Sport, lunar rock, advanced tech package, TRD premium package.

 

Dealership called to say that my truck is finally ready for pick up after they fixed the child safety belt recall! Flying to Chicago to pick it up this weekend. Salesguy sent me a pic. Should be good news for everyone whos truck is on hold.

I did but it still seems to work in the app. Not sure what that means. Well the fact that your dealers site hasn’t updated gives me some hope that they are just slow updating. I’ve heard others say it updates the next day or 2 so it’s strange that’s it’s not uniform. Well if you don’t mind post any changes and I’ll do as well. Looks like we might be close geographically as well. I’m in NY so are trucks might end up on the same ship assuming the NJ in your tag is for Jersey.

 

I wish it was better news, looks like the hold got extended.

On the Toyota Owners section of the website mine shows the temp VIN being invalid. It still pulls up in the App but when I go to the glovebox section and select manuals it shows a “No Manuals & Warranties” message so my temp is definitely dead. I saw Rod post your update the build was delayed which sucks and possible mine might be a day behind on completion as well.

I am in NJ but I bought mine at a PA dealership just over the state line (would be a straight shot on Route 78 from the port). I saw Rod post recent updates for others that their trucks are still at the port of Vera Cruz which figures to be the exit port for Newark so hopefully ours make a boat for this week!

@Rod03 What could possibly be happening? Have you ever seen such a long QC hold? I know it has the recall but there’s a remedy now. Pretty concerning and no answers from the dealership

 

Man i hope you get your truck asap. I remember you telling me about the 90 day hold and now it's another 20 days? Dealership should at least make clear what exactly is happening. Seat belt recall or something else. Ask your dealer specifically if your VIN has been flagged for the recall, mine knew so i see no reason why yours doesn't have that info available. Maybe that will help you narrow down what could possibly be happening. Corporate told me that a fix for the seatbelt wasn't going to be available until 9/1/22 and that I could expect to wait until 10/1/22. To my surprise dealer called me on 9/18/22 to tell me that a fix was available finally. If your VIN is on the recall list you at least know that when they get to it it'll be a quick ordeal.
