Ok cool.. I was really hoping to get them powder coated since I wanted a real smooth finish. But I guess the liner stuff will be good enough.

Would it be bad to just spray can them? I would think they would just chip very quick and look crappy very soon. I am trying to go for long term good looks lol.

You could also look into profesh bed lining i know it would be cheaper than powdercoating. Also look into the bed lining kits, not just the spray can

Something like this will hold up much much longer and look great

I remember seeing that on those and thinking that was a low price for powder coated sliders. Still says it on the Foothills sliders. Did you buy them from Datin or Foothills? Datin's says they are not powdercoated.

I'd use the bedliner paint. Like others have said, it'll be easier to touch up when you scrape them up.

As for the seller, I'd contact them before giving a negative rep to see if they'll make it right.

I used the Duplicolor bedliner on my bumper. The finish looks similar to the black rubber piece that sits on top of the bumper:

Hmm... do you have any more close up clear shots of it? I think that came out very nice! I really want something that isn't going to chip easy and look nice to the eyes.

What do you guys think I should do about the ebay payment? They claimed they were powder coated but weren't. Should I see if the seller will do a partial refund for the cost to get them painted? I don't want to pull a fast one on them since the item is different than whats described in the description and get a full refund because I still want the product. Thanks for your guys input.

Don't say painted, say powdercoated. See if they'll refund you the shipping cost as an offset. If they have to be shipped back, they'll be out that much anyway.

if theyre a decent customer service company they'll refund you some money...

if they ebay ad said powdercoat finish then the item is NOT as described and you should attempt to get some money back from them. If they wont directly contact ebay with your complaint

    A few bolts are different.
I dono about the ebay ad but trailgear.com says "shipped unpainted" so if the ad says painted I agree with tigerfan00, get some money back.

I under stand u want a smooth surface for ur GF, but when it rains a smooth surface is as slippary as ice...and that can be dangerous....i would suggest the dupli-color....its got a semi-texture surface just enouch for grip. not overkill. Look at my signature. My rims were done with the the rattle can

Got them from foothills. They updated the auction to unfinished after I contacted them 6 days after my purchase. So it still shows on the timeframe that i bought them thinking they were powdercoated. I contacted them late last night so we will see what they say. I said I would do a partial refund for the cost of getting these things correct otherwise I want a full refund. So hopefully they come back with some good options. If I don't hear anything back after today that I will be doing a paypal dispute... I just haven't figured out how much for a refund would be fair.

I contacted them late last night to see if they would cover the cost of getting these things finished. I offered a partial refund or full if they won't work with me. How much do you think is fair for a partial refund if they don't contact me and I go the dispute route?

My worry about the sliders isn't the surface it is the placement of the legs. That last on is a long way from the end of the tube. If you don't plan on really using them and landing the whole weight of the truck on them, you "should" be fine. If you do, they will flex and just get pushed into the body. Mine are the same way(different manufacturer) and there is no way I will be wheeling in the rock gardens with these on my truck.
