    Good morning. Got into my truck yesterday afternoon to find my rearview mirror hanging by the wires. The glass broke right at the little metal mount. @Tatts521 is this common? I do have the mirror riser on it to be able to see out of my windshield since I'm 6'5". The windshield was replaced by Jeff's Auto Glass in Pittsburgh back in December of 2019. Same place I'm taking it back to. Luckily I have a $0 deductible thru Stare Farm for windshields.

    When I have them installed the new windshield tomorrow should I have them leave that metal piece off and just use 3m double-sided tape to mount the riser to the windshield or put the metal mount on and use 3m double-sided tape just on the riser to help hold it on and not allow any vibrations.
