Are these intake safe? what I mean by safe is are they as good as stock intake or are they more likely to suck in water from everyday driving in the rain? I currently have one installed for quite a bit now and have not had any issues so far and have not open it up to inspect the filter. Do I need to stop worrying or do you guys suggest putting the stock one back on?

that intake is perfectly fine. I would check the filter just in case debris such as leaves or whatnot have gotten in the box but that's about it. Maybe clean the filter too depending on how long it's been on the truck

Yeah once the weather get better I'll check the filter. I might even just replace the filter with an afe one. I'm pretty sure its been on the truck for 20,000 miles now. Thanks for the peace of mind
