That was a funny picture where you posted the lug nuts couldn't seat on the wheel, I had a good laugh. Thanks

So in summary you encountered 2 problems:
    1. ARB studs too long, your close ended lug nuts couldn't seat, but you drilled it open and problem solved.
    2. ARB knurl too big for your "hole", don't know what its called.
So how did you get the ARB stud in there? You changed the hub which has bigger "holes" so you could fit the studs, or you machined the ARB studs to fit?

Also, from all the youtube studs replacement video, looks like there is very little space behind the studs, you had no problem wiggle the super long ARB studs in there in the first place?

I circled purple to illustrate the tight space I'm talking about

    1. that's correct, we put each lug on a lathe drilled the ends, and it came out JDM perfect. the two guys on the job have long histories with JDM so they were into doing it right.
    2. correct, the knurl on 100-7715 was too big to fit in the stud holes on the hubs i had. my hubs are from a user on here, 05Taco4x4, who handles great OE stuff. i'm on my second hubs and these are from him, but the actual hubs he used at that time are a different manufacturer than who was doing hubs for the OE trucks (although Toyota has used both sources in the past). the hubs he provided has different stud hole spec on the hubs... sure wish i knew that going in. but once we got some clarity on the options we decided to bore out the stud holes on my existing hubs. so, to your next question, they were obviously removed so the holes could go on a drill press. if you are on your original OE hubs, then you can expect 100-7715 studs to fit w/o issue.

I thought about it long and hard a I'll do all 4 corners just so that they all use look the same and use the same long lug nuts so my OCD doesn't keep me awake at night.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks for confirming ARP fitment, I'm ordering 10 sets of 5-packs for both Tacoma and 4Runner. Installation appointment confirmed 2nd week of September

I replaced all 4 corners, and all 4 corners had studs the exact same length. The difference people are seeing might be with the rear drums being thinner than the front rotors. The Matrix studs are a perfect 1/2" longer and are definitely strong enough. I used the ones from wheeladapter.com which were advertised at 1/2" longer but were actually 1" longer. Had to get creative with the install.

I already ordered ARP, but maybe I'll also get some Matrix studs on hand just in case the rear drums of the Tacoma gives the ARP a hard time, but hopefully no issue there. We'll see, hopefully the installer will put up a video for all to see the installation process, I have yet to find an ARP wheel studs installation on a 3rd gen Tacoma including rear drum video.

looks like your studs from wheeladapter is just as long as ARP

my studs already arrived and I'm testing fit

    Screen Shot 2022-08-23 at 1.23.30 PM.jpg

I have these Project Mu floating seat with cap that can be removed

    Screen Shot 2022-08-23 at 1.23.43 PM.jpg

however, I'm only able to get it to go as far as this
    Screen Shot 2022-08-23 at 1.23.54 PM.jpg

and it's too hard to turn by finger, and that's barely extending over
    Screen Shot 2022-08-23 at 1.24.07 PM.jpg

Should I just get the good old open ended extended lug nuts with no cap?
I'm not sure why these are like that.
Do you have picture of how your studs look on the lug nut?

Yeah... good stuff lol. I got a 7/8" hole saw and put holes thru the backing plates in the rear to pop the new insane long studs thru, then found some hole plugs to seal them back up. Seemed like a simpler option than complete disassembly of stuff to pull the axles. Can link you to what I grabbed if necessary.

I don't have great pics but I do have some.

From when I painted my drums while my shocks were getting revalved:

And the closest-up I have of the wheels on the truck with the Muteki SR45R's:

This pic shows off where I drilled the hole (right under the blue mark). This spot made it so I only had to remove 1 clip from the drum assembly:

I'll let the shop worry about how to install the long studs, they can rebuild the whole axle if that's what it takes. I was quoted 2 hours labor for all 4 corners, we'll see.

I'm a bit worried my project mu lug nuts might not work as I can't can turn it all the way to the end of the threads on the stud, I will order a set of your MUTEKI looks like they work on yours

I can't quite tell from the picture, but the studs went thru threaded portion of the lug nut and protrude out right?

Just came back from alignment. Will have to get another picture as there is factory 1" rake now (front end came down 1" after alignment), before it was level and codes were thrown for TSS and the stability control system.

There is nothing stopping them from coming all the way thru - I checked when I did the install, but they come out just to the end of the threads for my application. The hard part is finding the locks in stock. They've been perma-backordered for over a year now in a 12x1.5. I'm still waiting for my set.

I'd run some open ended lock nut placeholder until matching ones are back in stock, but given the fact that most thieves target cats now, wheels are safe relatively, I'd take my chances without

It does look a little different, close though. Here is a detail pic of the DB in direct sunlight which brings out the bronze hues. Great looking wheels ya got there!

Do you guys know if ICB sell used wheels? The product description does not specify.

I noticed that they don't have the red tag in the air valve hole

also, I noticed a couple of imperfections on this one specifically

ICB has sold used wheels in the past. Mainly 4 lug wheels. You can call Matt to confirm, he’s pretty unfriendly to speak with.
