I disagree. 5100's for a lift, and some welding rods for a locker, or a spool, and your good to go. If you do the work yourself, you should come in around that much.

or even for a cheaper lift: 2x4s even cheaper than spacers. And the weld your diff for the locker like posted above.

Why not, just ruins tires faster and no turning radius left. But thats why you smash the gas on turns.:D

i think they might call it an aussie locker because its a locker. . . just a theory. im pretty sure they make one that will fit the 8" 2 pinion rear

as far as i have read it unlocks inly under no throttle. i cold be wrong but i still garauntee is that it is better than open diff spinning one tire all day.

    here larry. relax.
A limited slip (LSD) differential is simply a standard differential (also called open) with either a fixed bias or dynamic biasing mechanism which serves to only "partially" lock up" the two axles by way of clutch plates or special gear design. However, most require that both wheels still have some traction on the ground to operate and even when new will cause a wheel in the air to spin uncontrollably so as to be completely ineffective where off road traction is required.

The Aussie Locker overcomes the traction deficiency of the standard differential so as to ensure that 50:50 power split is achieved when driving irrespective of ground (or in the air) conditions, yet still allowing differential action when required.

Too many people on this website don't understand this concept. Not saying that necessarily about the OP, just that it's way too rampant on here in general.

i think you'd be better off saving your $$ for now...put that $512 in the bank and wait till you can do it right without having to cut corners or put off what you REALLY want
