You’re kidding yourself if you don’t think Tacoma pricing won’t follow suit for the next gen. Basic 2022 Tundra Off-road will set you back $56k. And you can’t get a pro for that anymore. You got lucky just like I did and can’t get my loaded 2020 Off-road for $39k like I did back in Feb of 2020.

I’m just saying content wise Toyota is gonna need to bring their game up to keep buyers. Current Pro buyers spending $50k plus for what you get and what you could get for $10k more I bet people will stray. Be interesting to see pricing and new Tacoma.

But I agree $65k is outrageous especially for a GM product but people will buy it.

They're still selling well, Toyota, that is but their reliability and loyalty have taken a hit over the last few years. The 3rd gen taco is not as good as it should/could have been. The new Tundra is nice but missing key features.

I like it for the most part. I do not like the light switch situation though. I will definitely cross shop it with the next Tacoma once the time to buy is right.

I can say compared to the current Taco, it would be hard for me to buy my truck again.

430 Lb-Ft. speaks to me. Styling looks good. Toyota reliability I don't find to be quite as infallible as some others. My truck has been pretty good, better than my FJ was, but not as good as my wifes Rav4 was.

I hope Toyota answers with something good for the next gen Taco.

Do the knocking lifters of the 3.6 also speak to you?

Well, considering it won't have the 3.6, no.

My 3.5 makes more than enough noises to keep me busy anyways.

Those are noises its suppose to make tho, not ones that indicate the engine is going to explode soon.

Not always. My BIL's 2020 made some noises that it wasn't supposed to. So many that it was bought back using his state's Lemon Law, with the help from his attorney.

I don’t know if he was part of one or not. I recall him mentioning there were CLAs about the truck, but I don’t know if he was part of one. I don’t think so, but I’ll ask him.

Naw it was a trick question, no class action lawsuits on the 2020, but there are for the 3.6.;)
