You can’t find Eagle Rare in Columbia?

 

TBH, I'm not driving all over searching for it. Only the few stores I go to, I'll look for it. But yeah, it's hard to come by here. I've only seen it in stores twice and then only 1 bottle. The first time it was $50 and I bought it. The next time was last week and at $79 I passed.

 

Ah, I gotcha. Would have passed for $79 too, $50 is pretty normal here. Just grabbed one for $40 yesterday though. I’d definitely try and grab something you can’t find here while in TX. I’m headed down there in October and have basically the same plan, 2 bottles max lol. I want to check out the Costco too, since the sell liquor in the store itself

My BIL sent me the pic, they’re passing through Kansas on the way back east from Yellowstone. Just the big bottle for me, I have a 750ml already, no need to be greedy lol.

 

Makes me sad when I first started getting into bourbon in like 2018 that a 750l was $18.99

I’ve come to terms I’m not the biggest EC fan, and so I probably won’t ever open this. Anybody want it for a simple trade?

 

Well…. I won’t disagree. I think I bought it at the distillery a few years back for sub $20 as well. However, it’s very hard to be surprised that it’s twice as much now since it feels like literally EVERYTHING cost twice as much now as it did 4 year’s ago…. I don’t love it.

 

I have a bottle but my BIL has been on the hunt I’d be happy to score one for him. What are you looking for?

Why is it that you only want what they have in other states? And what someone else wants (but you don’t want) is right around the corner… The Balcones, all of them, are at a local store here.

 

Not looking for anything in particular, but a fan of all things Buffalo Trace if you have anything extra. Or do you have access to New Riff by chance? You can shoot me a pm if ya want

 

For the the record (and future trades) I have EC Toasted and access to New Riff, both the regular stuff and the single barrel.

 

Trying something new this time

 

The 18 year is banger and, IMO the small batch is good for the money. The rest of their lineup doesn't do it for me either.

 

I don’t have anything to trade that you can’t get already if you have access to EC Toasted Barrel but I’d buy one if someone wants to sell.

 

Neighborhood jazz band and 4 roses single barrel.

 

Once of these days (when I finish some bottles) I’m going to give that a try.
