I had to fly cross country a month or so ago on a Max 8. I got to the airport at 0 dark thirty and the flight was delayed for maintenance. 2 hours later it was still delayed for maintenance. One of the engines was failing a startup test and they were flying a part in from Phoenix. They finally gave up and and offered a $200 credit for anyone willing to fly out the next day. Since it was business travel, I grabbed that credit, drove home and went back to bed. Flew out the next day on a normal 737-800 with paint falling off the wings.

Unfortunately for me, that was only the beginning of a week of air travel hell that is the post-covid standard now. 5 airports, every flight delayed or cancelled.

On the way back, I left Chicago at 11am, and didn't get home until 2am. My favorite part was a 4 hour layover in Vegas because my ORD flight got in too late and they sent my plane out because we weren't there on time to make our hour layover. And of course, when you ask if there's anything they can do, they politely go tell you to fuck yourself and wait. I could have rented a car and drove home faster than the airlines got me on another flight.

I didn't bother shitting on that dude in the thread. I went to college for Fire Science. When I was 19 I had an FBI background check to take a series of Arson Investigation courses. 4.0'd all of them and could have easily went for Investigator instead of front line. I prefer the idea of being able to help someone as opposed to arrest someone. lol

Right, but you could be one of like 30 people in CA that can carry a gun around aside from.......oh, I can't say that 'cause politics rule

I get an FBI background check every 5 years. I'm surprised they haven't figured out who I am online. Thank god for the VPN, I guess lol

Only time I carried was in AK and only when I was out in the bush. Although their concealed carry laws are awesome. No permit needed to carry open or concealed. The bars all have a coat/gun check girl. Not kidding. lol

Different times. Just about anyone could create economic value in the 60s/70s.

Pure market value of brains is a development mostly of the last 20 years, for better or worse.

We may get lucky with a spontaneous change in that dynamic, but there are no obvious signs of such at the moment.

The correct method, known as Constitutional Carry.

    It's gaining steam, thankfully:

Meanwhile, to bring it back to investments:

There are still some stocks on the market. Other asset types as well.

    They will undoubtedly ______ today.

Are AR's dangerous? Cause I really like the ideal of owning some cannons.

It was not specific of what type of arms to bear.

    Guns aren't that dangerous.

Here's a little known fact. In cases of gun violence the gun is very seldom responsible for the killing. It's the fucking bullet that kills 99.99% of the time.

money changes people. thats why its the root of all evil. there's a chance you would become greedy just like the rest of them.

"i worked my ass off to get here" is usually where the argument starts for them

Bullets aren't that dangerous either. It's the intent and actions of a killer, cause if they want to cause harm, they will find alternatives no matter what.
