Little humor Aussie style. For the curious “eftpos” is electronic funds transfer point of sale.

Some of the funny things that I experienced while working at Kulgera Roadhouse....

1 We had a sign on the Diesel Pumps saying "No Diesel". A guy lifts the pump nozzle and I walked over and said we have no diesel as the sign says. His reply, "I just wanted to see if there is any left".

2 Our internet went down so naturally no eftpos and we put 20 signs up.on the fuel bowsers and at the shop entrance saying the eftpos is down due to the Internet not working.

Five people ask when will it be back on. No idea I said.

A lady asks is the eftpos down just for the fuel. We advise no it's on everything. We have no eftpos due to the internet being down. She said why....I said I don't know why, it just is.

Six people ask why is the eftpos not working. I said because the internet is down as per the signs. Oh is that why they said.

Three people said they had no cash what do they do. I just looked at them and said always travel with extra cash. Two people said but we need fuel. I said there is nothing I could do. They then said you sure, as much as I wanted to hit them, I said I am sure I cannot make the internet come back on.

3 A guy came in and complained we should have arrows pointing to which way people should drive into the fuel bowsers. He said there should be a one way set up.

We had a large number of people drive into the bowsers today from both directions. One tried to back out with a van and nearly hit another car.

I said to the guy, I could put signs up saying p$%^ Off and people still wouldn't read them.

In the end, after he kept going on about it with 6 people queued up behind him in the shop, I said that your on holidays, relax and be patient. He left in a huff.

The other people in the shop just shook their heads.

4 A guy asked me what's the best way to get to Oonadatta. I said I don't know, I have never been there.

He said you sure. I said yes, pretty sure I haven't been there.

So you don't know the best way to get there, no I said. I have just started here.

There are maps to look at that would show you..... I told him.

So you honestly dont know the best way to get there he asked again. Yes. I said I honestly don't know.

But you work here so you should know. I said yes I work here but still don't know. He looked bemused and finally left.

5 A guy turns up and asks which way to Uluru. I said where did you come from. He said Adelaide.

I said have you got a map. No he said.

Well keep heading North up the highway for 75 klms and then turn left. 10 minutes later He came back in and asked which way was north. I said you came form Adelaide which was south.....in the end I just pointed "that way".

    2005 Taco!
Hi all, temporarily moving to St. Louis from Maryland at the end of Sept on military orders for 11 months and got screwed on a Taco purchase here in MD

In a nutshell, car won't pass inspection on my initial title transfer bc the wheels protrude too far from the body. Does STL have strict inspection laws on this type of issue when trying to pass inspection? Debating on just keeping the Taco off the road till I leave next month bc I'm on a budget w/o getting new tires.

Any help or thoughts will be appreciated!!

You'll be fine. Bring it to Twin City Toyota for inspection and maintenance needs. Ask for Matt or Timm (yup)

    Also

Crop your photos. And welcome to TW/STL :D

Yeah, I live a couple of miles south of the base in a rural area.

about your question. No where in the area in Illinois or Missouri should you have problems.

You find that under your truck? Is there one in the bed to let them know how big of a gun you can mount in it?
