It's such a common thing for shops, they can bang it out in like 20 minutes for a hundred bucks. If you have exhaust welding experience I'm sure it's easy enough. But if not, I would just bring it in. It's like making brisket. I have the tools and ability to make brisket. But, it's a 24 hour thing and I would do it so infrequently, I just go get it elsewhere a couple times a year.

The issue for me is Im not sure how to deal with the dual wall nature of that section of the stock exhaust.

Yeah, I wonder if you should pinch the walls together or something at each cut.

Yeah, 5.29’s on 33’s. They are supposed to be 34’s by the math — 285/75-17’s calculate out to 33.8”. I was expecting a half inch less. But these KM3’s measure out to about 32.7, so I’m a little disappointed. Thinking about calling BF Goodrich to complain.

that said, the KM3’s are fantastic tires in all kinds of terrain.

I’m debating between 4.56 and 4.88. But I think I’m gonna go with the 4.88’s on the theory that my next set of tires will be 35’s.

Im also not 100% sure how far up/down the dual wall section extends. If its just small section under the t-case then maybe cutting the whole thing would solve the issue, like @crashngiggles had done

I THINK there's like, one or two VERY boring greens there, you could do. But the gap between green and the next level is ginormous. But I haven't been in many years.

They're super strict about what rigs they let in too, aren't they?

I’ve always been curious about Jericho myself. Wonder how double locked on 35’s would do.

September 10 Saturday after Labor day weekend @HolyHandGrenade and I will be running some class 4&5 roads up in NH.
Looking for 4 more to join if anyone is interested.
The trails are saved on my GPS from when I went with the exploring NH crew, I know VW hill is on it and I'm pretty sure Papa Bear is also.
These trails are not stock friendly
It's a treat to wheel with Tim and it's not often he gets up here considering he's from PA so you may want to get on board ASAP:thumbsup:

33s, full armour, spare tire, driving skills(but spotting of course), spare parts if you plan on doing something stupid, food and water, plan on pin striping.
