a carbide scraper set like this. Makes the job quick and easy (just be realllllllllllllly careful on aluminum!).

We get some of are glass from a company in Germany called Scott. Comes in rough and we polish it. Have to cut the corners of it to fit in the polishing jigs. It will polish both sides at the same time.

 

And heavy

I used to use it at the old job for something specific, can't quite remember what...

If you open the can plan on using it all, the plastic lid won't keep it from hardening for very long.

 

Jig on a rotary table holds 5 sheets locked in by air. Diamond blade for cutting.

 

Glass gears?

 

They are made from some kind of material that won’t damage the polishing pad. Glass sits higher than the jig so it will polish the glass.

 

Can you get some photos of the angle head in the mill?

 

I’m actually leaving now to bring my daughter back to college. 4 hour ride to Orono Maine. I’ll take them in the morning when it’s not running. We have another one that is geared to run twice the rpm as the spindle.

 

I started following that on the ground floor and am somewhat mortified to admit to have read/skimmed every post...
