Hi there! Finally decided to get a car vacuum cleaner, but afraid to screw up with the choice. I bring my daughter to kindergarten and back almost every day, so there are crumbs in the back I want to quickly clean up. Would like something compact so it doesn't take up a lot of space. I've seen ones that fit in the glove box but not sure how powerful they really are. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated!

I would also consider some form of a seat cover that prevents things falling into the gaps.

I got a Dyson animal v10 last year and it's pretty incredible. I use it daily to vacuum pet hair and dirt in the house, and it works great in the truck as well since it's cordless and comes with a mini roller/brush and other attachments for cleaning small spaces.

this is what i use: had one of those 12v powered vacuums designed for cars but it was pathetically under-powered and useless.

Look for sales at your local home depot, lowes, or if ya can hold out til black friday there’s usually a selection to pick from.

I opted for a wet dry vac that was on sale.. came with the extended hose attachment as well (normally an extra $49 w tax)

To each their own when it comes to brand. This does exactly what I need it to do…

I just use a little shop vac. After a very dusty weekend I may have scratched the dash with the nozzle. :anonymous:

    Welcome to the forum :hattip:

I never used a hand held vacuum that seemed very useful, perhaps the new ones are better. Any hand held vacuum will be limited by the size of the filter.

Years ago I got a Shop Vac Hang up Pro to be used exclusively for cleaning cars. I have a larger Shop Vac for general purpose (aka crappy) work.
I chose this model because it is designed to hang conveniently on the wall obviously and also comes with an 18' hose that can reach the entire interior without moving the vac.

It has a smaller diameter hose than the HD models but when just cleaning cars that presents no problem.
