So I'm looking at sliders for my 2019 TRDORDC. I'm not doing anything really crazy but wouldn't mind a bit of protection, also perhaps against door dings and to have a step.

I have some 285/70r17 on with +1 offset so the tires stick out a bit more. Do sliders help with mud and other road crap spraying onto the truck? Any drive in the winter and the door handles are covered in slush.

I know this is what I deserve for getting a truck and doing mods to it but wouldn't mind keeping it a bit cleaner.

    Not interested in mud flaps

    Thanks!

Any slider with a solid step plate will stop *some* of the mud.

No slider/step/nerf bar will stop as much as a mud flap.

One issue that I have while running sliders without flaps is inn the winter between the slider and the body slush builds up and freezes and it makes one hell of an annoying noise. I have just tube ones so I am not sure how much they block. Just one downside
