    4 run, 2 don't
Sometimes it's the dash itself, there's a thread about one area specifically since it's quite common apparently. Not sure if it's between the glass or not...easy search.

If you find the rattle is between the dash and the windshield you can jam something down in there for a temporary fix. Just don't jam it all the way down...

My dash squeak comes around in the winter time. I used some rubber fuel line to get rid of it. Don't recall the size. The fuel line comes out when the truck is super cold. It goes away between April and December.

Search this forum for "dash rattle" and you'll find a lot of info from others who have fixed (temporarily or permanently) their rattles. Good luck!

You're overthinking it. Everyone's rattle is different. You need to listen to where yours is the loudest, and jam some rubber between the forward edge of the dashboard and whatever else happens to be in front of it. If that doesn't work, then you take things apart.

Then it's more likely that the AC vent is rubbing on the underside of the dash. You might be able to remove just the climate/radio bezel and reach your hand up that way.

There used to be an old service bulletin that addressed that concern. The problem was the dash locator pins on the dash rattling in the receptacles in the firewall just below the windshield. You can either wedge something between the dash and lower windshield as they have suggested or pull the dash and put adhesive backed felt on the pins and defroster ducts. Those dashes are that bad. I can have them pulled in less than 45 minutes. Seems like the SB only paid like an hour.
