Powder coated “TRD red” because I thought green wouldn’t look all that great with the wheels.

Ahh, yea, that’s not much at all lol. Hope they’re better than the Fox’s though.

Those look good with the red TRD on those wheels!

I've replaced the radiator bushings but not the ones in the rear. I thought about those but my sound is coming directly from the leafs themselves.

Im pretty sure you can use any kit. Someone here posted a long time ago they didn’t use it and the sway bar rubbed on the struts…. I’m pretty sure that’s what I remember reading.

Thank you. I was figuring the same bc normally when you go from 2" shocks to 2.5 or more then its usually needed.

You’re welcome. I think in combination with that is the extra size of the strut vs the oem one.

My questions may have been covered but....
I'm strongly considering the Ironman shocks for my 2008 Tacoma but have a question on the spring rates listed for the springs. It looks like all the springs for the tacoma are listed with the same spring rate at 827 (lb/in), this doesn't make sense. There should be a difference between the Medium load 0-110lb and Heavy load 110-220 lb. I assume this is listing error. I thought the stock Tacoma OR gen 2 had 600 lb/in coilsprings, I could be mistaken and they might be 700 lb/in. Accutune page suggest it is 600. 827lb/in is huge.
    1. Is there a light or 0 addition weight but 2.5' lift coil spring? If what is the spring rate?
    2. What are the spring rates of the various springs that fit the FCP shock for the Tacoma?
    3. what are the spring rate and lengthen options?
    4. would other springs fit? Specs on the page post End I/D:66/76mm. Has anyone used other company's springs on the FCP? it would also be nice to stay away from the green.

I pulled this from the other thread. I would go with that 720 pound coil, I believe its the lowest one that they offer.

For some reason you’d need to search on their page with the part number to find the lower rated springs. I started with the heavier and ended up putting the lighter ones on and have been really happy.
It would be tough to use other manufactures springs on the IM. IM has a flat top and curved bottom. Most others are flat on top and bottom. With the spring perch on the IM, they won’t sit flat. Could you remove the perch and have them sit on the top of those two lock nuts? If you’re confident nothing will happen. I had looked for an isolator that had an inward curve and was going to try if I could find cheap springs. After reading and thinking it just wasn’t worth it. I’m not sure what the 2ng Gen are but the 3rd Gen OR coils are around 730 as tested by @Toytec Lifts
Last bit, several people have gotten the springs powder coated a different color, with @RTweet being the most recent I can remember. If you look for threads by my name, I have my review and then a megathread I started for the lift.

Anyone going to the party this weekend? It’s a shame I’m on the east coast, they always have fun looking coffee meets and things like this!
Congrats @pistonsandpixiedust for being the special guest!

I've found info suggesting the gen 2 is a 250 or 350 lb lighter than the gen3 at the front axles. If that is so the lowest spring rate of 720 lb/in IronMan offers for the tacoma 2005+ couldn't be appropriate for both generations. Can anyone actually confirm the difference in weight at the front?

Heya! Definitely not an overlanding rig lol. I haven't done much: just a Bakflip tonneau, running boards, the lift, and 33s. Let me know if I can help you with any additional info.
