Little over 10” at the tail lights. Got shit liked in the old bed so couldn’t get an exact measurement for what it was. But there is now 45” between where the tail lights will go and I was rough measuring around 55-57 on the stock bed

Wheeled with some damn bouncers and buggies at Chocco yesterday. Everyone on 43 stickies. Glad they were able to keep up :rofl:Glad I didn’t spend much time making my bedsides look pretty either haha rev limiter double locked, glad it was just cosmetic. Steering hissed all day long.

I know this will be a rabbit hole that I will have to do a rear disc brake modification in the very near future, but has anyone done a hand brake swap on our trucks though? I’m looking at removing the parking brake pedal and making this Wilwood hand brake work. I want to make it look as stock as possible in the center console by trimming out the rectangular tray that we have and having the handle go through it. Certainly not the hardest mod to do, but has anyone done it that can chime in on their opinions or what they would do differently?

My doors are the only stock things left besides the headlights
to use it as a park brake.....bad idea....tried it...my truck has rolled away a few times. a normal park brake is cable operated and doesnt bleed off.

i have that wilwood handbrake in my truck tho, works awesome for what its intended purpose is for. made up a few brake lines plumbs inline to the rear, pretty simple.

now if you are just wanting to relocate the park brake....th cable runs right under the center console..you could retrofit a pully on the handle but youll need a catch of some sort to hold it when its in use for parking...personally i think a waste of time...if you want a handbrake, do a disc conversion, run el dorado calipers to keep the cable park brake option and plumb in a handbrake in addition.

just using it to kick out the rear and drift a bit in the desert, no intention of using it as a real parking brake.

I don’t see why he couldn’t, short of going to a oddball rear brake setup. Unless he does what I did and go to a 9” rear end with wilwood disk brakes. But this is my solution I’m installing this fall, https://www.wilwood.com/Search/PartNoSearch?q=EPB

That's pretty slick, anyone have experience with those? Looks like you just need an appropriate sized rotor and a mounting bracket welded on.

After looking into it more I realized I need to just bite the bullet and buy a hydraulic flaring kit and do it like the drifters do. Going to be an expensive idea I had but one that is well worth it.

I saw Kyle kuhnhausen just posted something on ig about them so I asked what he thought of them, but considering his builds I’m sure he likes them.

this is the one I’ve got and it works awesome. Will flare steel, stainless or aluminum with ease. The only down side to it is it can’t flare close to a bend so your down to how far in you can get the tube nut into your bender to make the bend.

Small word of advice if your going to put a handbrake in, and might need to remove it in the future for other things but don't like rebleeding stuff...run braided hoses to the handbrake so you can unbolt it off its mount and move the assembly out of the way
