Update - in my front room, 79 deg house thermostat setting, 37 deg refrigerator setting, empty save a box of baking soda, 24 hours, 37.3 Ah consumed. The Dometic app - terrible consumption on an old iPhone 7. Victron app - ok, not much consumption, but has a quirky "trends" tab that occasionally shows historical consumption.

Fill the fridge with some s
Water bottles. empty space is harder to cool down.
one of the old tricks getting ready for a hurricane. Freeze bunch of water bottles. Pack fridge and freezer. More in it to retain the cold when power goes out.

I was hoping this to be a worst case guesstimate (even thought this ambient temp isn't bad) of the batterybox life. When camping I usually freeze the lentil stew in a container that fits my camp pot - for just that reason!

Ugh, hurricane. The wife and I are watching 5 Day at Memorial on Prime now. There is a reason I like AZ. The ultimate act of hubris, building a city below sea level and expecting levees to hold.

Well to be fair here in Arizona people build expensive houses/whole communities where there isn't any water. I just got back from measuring up a house that's probably worth around 1.2-1.3 in the prescott valley area that doesn't have any water. Guy drilled like three deep wells found nothing lol. Still built the house anyways.

Hell another one just down the road under construction they went 850 no water. Sticks going up in the air anyways.

Water is such a huge problem in Prescott/Prescott Valley and the idiots in charge keep allowing development. That city is going to be in serious trouble very soon.

Oh man don't even get me started. I just hope that the lot I own is still worth something next year when I sell it.

Isn't that Craig Childs? There's two ways to die in the desert - too little water or too much? The Secret Knowledge of Water was a great read

Eh, we will learn, I'm a firm believer in "confident, cocky, lazy dead"

Looks like you might need to trim the fenders up a little higher.

I witnessed a crime in progress this morning on the 202.

Got passed by a showroom fresh First Gen. Radiant Red, Extended (Extra iirc?) Cab Flareside, 4x4, late model with the color matched grille and bumper. Absolutely gorgeous truck that would probably go for close to $30k right now except...

Driver was puffing away inside on his cigarette with the windows rolled up to marinate.

I don't hate this. Admiring that Leitner Rack especially.

Meh...dude I bought my Sequoia from smoked cigars. Ozone didn't do much, but chlorine dioxide did...problem solved.

Oh I'm not saying you can't get the smoke smell out reasonably well (some plastics SUCK though and will soak it in)...

I was more making a joke about people who are so used to the smell of smoke / their nose is so blown out that they can't detect something that utterly reeks of ciggies, and will insist that it "totally does not smell like smoke."
