A couple weeks ago I posted about using bedliner on my aluminum skid. The shit is already chipping off. Maybe it doesn't take to aluminum? Probably shouldn't have even messed with it. Farts.

 

It might bond to unfinished/raw aluminum, but that skid had a finish on it already. I would probably have hit it with self etching primer and then the bedliner.

 

It has two coats of self etching primer. And three coats of bedliner.

 

hahahaha, then wow. Don't play the lotto today.

ETA: So I don't know if I came off as an asshole just then, so let me finish this with: You might need to wire-brush/flap wheel it to get anything to bond over the surface coating already on it. Sorry man.

 

Then I notice my roof got smoked by a golf ball at the club. Screw it, part out.

 

How did you prep it before applying the primer?

 

For the past couple months I had this one single clunk when pulling out of my parking spot slowly with the steering wheel cranked to either side. It would also sometimes clunk when going over bumps when the steering wheel was cranked. Thought maybe the ECGS bushing would tighten up the CV axle (which it did) but that wasnt the culprit. Got under the truck last week and nothing was loose by shaking but went to torque my lower control arms and the front bolt on the driver side was waay under torqued. All the other ones were fine. Havent noticed the clunk in the last couple of days now, hoepfully thats all it was.

 

Not today but the other day. The one where we touched some dirt. Ew.

Nah you're good. I hyperdipped my chrome bumper last summer and it's held up perfectly. I would think that would flake off before bedliner.

Holley makes a relocation bracket for one of their intakes that moves it right behind the taillight. You can order via support to make it easy. This is what i used when I fit the TRD intake on my truck.

Replaced my jba uca ball joints and anti bulging bushings
