You are correct... Ask a Tesla owner how they like their coal powered vehicle... See how they respond

I dont think solar and wind can meet the needs of CA, if more electricity is needed the price of it will go up, I think the only thing to save CA is nuclear and CA wont like that, and water energy is almost gone

Energy strategy in the US is a clusterfuck that’s become so politicized we’re probably all doomed at this point.

You'd have to ask Thomas Edison, Alessandro Volta, Humphry Davy, James Bowman Lindsay, Warren de la Rue, Joseph Swan or Henry Woodward and Matthew Evans. ;)

Like relying on "renewable" (scam) energy like frozen wind turbines and Feds ordering pipelines shut down?
EVs are a a total scam and I will never drive one of those NPC cuckmobiles as long as I live.

We need a breakthrough in Fusion energy production to save our bacon. Hopefully we survive to see it.

    > State officials including Republican governor Greg Abbott initially blamed the outages on frozen wind turbines and solar panels. However, data showed that failure to winterize power sources, like wind turbines and natural gas infrastructure, had caused the grid failure.

The talking point that the reddest state in the union with an entirely politically aligned governance was somehow influenced by progressives might be a cute talking point but for anyone with the ability to think it’s a little hard to swallow.

The other good question to ask is, are we going to have the raw materials to produce all these batteries long term?

It’s been discussed a few times back in this thread but EV’s convert electricity to motion more efficiently than ICE (in the order or >25%) so point for point any energy used will be more efficient.

There’s some serious downsides to EV, especially if we tried to flip today (instead of 20 years from today), like the availability of charging resources, cobalt for batteries, towing range, etc but I don’t think green house gas reduction has ever been up for debate.

You may need to educate yourself on Keystone pipeline and which markets the refined gas was going to.... Hint. Not US

And here will help you with "frozen" wind mills

I think the idea was the signal it sent and the response to said signal.
