Added this today. From Amazon. MFG says 60W spot. Came with brackets, hardware, and a wiring harness with relay and fuse. Had to add 5 SS washers under each bracket. Waiting on a OEM style switch. The switch it shipped with looks pretty hokey. Diode dynamics sells a 12" 100W bar, but it's pricier (who'd a thunk it?).

Looks decent. Curious how much better the DD one could be.

I think it's over $200, but 100W would be a LOT of light. At 60W, this one is about like one strong ditch light. You could use pretty much any 12" single row light bar as long as it's not too thick. It's not TOO obnoxious looking, especially when it's not turned on. I'm trying to refrain from making my truck look TOO hillbilly :D

I brought the switch cable into the cab through the large "witch's hat" type grommet used by the large OEM wiring harness near the master cylinder. Punched a hole with a long Philips screwdriver and attached a pull wire. I had plenty of room to do this, but one wants to be cautious doing this sort of thing.

Since I can’t find anybody with a black or red flat hood in Alaska who wants a scoop instead, a DD scoop light is on my long list of expensive/unnecessary mods to do after it’s paid off.
Thanks for sharing. I like that light pic, very helpful for my expectations

Not too 'in your face' during the day. I didn't really have to cut out the center part of the scoop 'grille', but chose to in order to avoid obstructions to the light pattern. I used a HF coping saw (I already had) to cut the little 'bars'. Just had to assemble the saw with the blade inside the 'grille'. Had to drill holes in the black plastic part for the mounting bolts and power cord. Other than cutting a hole for the OEM switch, the whole install is probably two hrs or less. It would be swell if this light bar had a longer cord (it's about six inches).
By all accounts, the DD stuff is top notch.

    I think it’s cool!
Out of sight so less chances of thieves jacking it.

Ok now I want one to blind the $hit out of the @ssholes driving with their high beams on because they have a low bulb burned out and they’re too incompetent to replace it.

Same here, unfortunately he’s no longer making them. I like my SpartanX scoop light because it fills out the entire width of the scoop and the wiring is heavy duty. The light mount design is sound.

It's usually not incompetence. Often, there's no money left in the budget for auto repairs after beer and lottery tickets have been purchased. These days, one must prioritize life's necessities.
