The frame recall has been extended to 2017 last I knew. They never fixed anything. Just let it ride.

Nope. My philosophy is be consistent with a wax. Oil is good too but wax is better for the polar bears. I mean it might only be marginal but still.

He was scraping undercoat off a frame mentioning how bad it is and showing the rust.

I thought it extended to 2017.
Speaking of that, I need to get mine redone.
Yup, others have mentioned it too, that it just traps all the existing rust and moisture, so it just continually rusts away until it’s too late, cause you can’t see it at all.

The original CRC Toyota was applying was doing that for sure, got that on my 2010 before the frame failed. Not sure about the white coating they used after inside the frames.

At the very least I will plastidip my rockers.
I have a few switches to install as well. One will be dedicated for bed lights. The other hasn’t been designated yet.

Ah - no, that is NOT mine. I DID tank my rocker a couple years ago when I had sliders in the mail. That was a painful one. But whatever.

Yeah makes sense. Are you doing it black? That area has heavier coat and it's pebbled so it's a lot better, but still could do with some derpy zap.

Yes it’s a dark grey. Almost black. Plastidip will do the job. Clear coat it later if I like it.

Oooh right I forgot that swapped to that. I forgot I saw that on @NoFear9491 truck. Not sure how well it sticks, but seems ok for what he drives. I did end up throwing some woolwax on the rest of his truck tho.
