Drove about an hour out of town for work and decided to check out 2 different stores on my way back. I can get OF 1920 here but never pulled the trigger. I have a friend that swears by Old Crow as a daily sipper so I thought I might try it. XL was the only size they had.

EDIT: Didn't realize Old Crow was just Jim Beam but not aged as long. I don't like Jim Beam.

Bourbon hunt today was uneventful so I picked up an EW BiB since I had yet another person tell me it was a great pour for <$20.

Thanks to @Georgeee28 I was able to get a couple bottles that I never see around here. I’ve had the McKenna 10 before but never tried the Heaven Hill BiB. Looking forward to that one. Thanks again @Georgeee28 !

Nothing to report other than my mother in law (who drinks wine) poured me 8oz of Very Old Barton last night when I asked for a 'single'.

We had to have a discussion about the proof differences between wine and bourbon. Or she's lowkey trying to kill me, one or the other.

8 oz? You must’ve been feeling right as rain after that.

I poured 6 of them back into her glass. I had to drive home. She was sleeping where we were.

Try their premium labels. Knob Creek, Bookers.

Old Tub is the best under-30 Beam bottle out there right now IMO. Old Grand Dad BiB is also excellent in that range, but I prefer to pay a bit more fir the 114 proof.

I'm glad they got there in one piece! I always get a little worried with the people at UPS, they seem to like to punt boxes around

EW BiB is my go to everyday sipper. So good, especially for the money.

Ok fine. I signed up for both lotteries.

Side note, Old Crow isn't bad. Basic obviously but drinkable. For an everyday sipper, I'll still stick to EW BiB.

It’s in my top 3. Like it so much that I couldn’t bear to get rid of the bottle.

Well, the twist on plastic cap and $16.95 price tag were sus af (as the youngins’ say) but I must say, that is a damn fine pour. Unique flavor, smooth sip and spicy finish. I’m shocked that it’s so readily available and inexpensive.

It's a world beater. There's nothing else even close in the price range.

Until you get to Buffalo Trace/WT101/Old Tub in the $25ish range, there's nothing that can compete.
