Scored another freebie flat deck Uline from a job. A few new bolts and she’s good. Have a fleet now. Lol.

 

Managing seems like a pain in the ass, the reason I don't feel like I have a boss most days is because I don't need to be managed. Meanwhile my coworkers get their asses chewed for shit they should have done as common sense.

You used to develop software, now you're developing the machine that develops software.

It's an interesting problem space if you're up for it.

It's also an infuriating problem space as you read the other devs code and think "this doesn't work and could never work and I can tell from here that you didn't even try to run it".

 

Finally got a damn fan for the garage; feels a million times better in here.

Thinking I'll wall mount it on the otherside and use the available outlet. Garage has many outlets

That's the equivalent of being left on *read* for a whole day..

 

Standard software life and office job complaints aside, things are good. We've been hiring, and seem to be figuring things out. Got a product manager, some UI devs, and a sincere interest in finding a functional agile process. Startup vibes but the company's actually profitable.

We're writing a new website using .NET 6. Feels good to use modern tech after spending years in ca. 2010-2015 tech.
