Yup torrefied Sitka top, ebony fret board and saddle. I did have to do the pencil lead trick on the strings as the nut was "tinking" that's all the set up that was needed from me. I'm putting elixirs on it too.

So, FedEx dropped this at the house about an hour ago. Didnt have time to do more than remove it from the box, and strum one chord. In perfect tune! had to get back to work, and didnt want to leave it sitting on the porch. Pretty nice so far. Kinda stoked!
This was #4 of the serial #'s I picked. First (3) sold while I was on the phone with the sales guy before he could lock it up. Its a little yella, but the least obnoxious of the offered colors for me.

goin back a bit, the broken LP.... picLP BROKE2.jpg finally... and YES!! '93 LP Std do exist from the factory with an ebony fretboard. Although, when I contacted Gibson, they said it was spec'd with a Rosewood FB. Most definitely not the case.

here is the repaired... got them to throw on a set of Grovers. The Kluson's were never very good really. Didnt dig the plastic knobs and it didnt hold tune very well.

If you look at the broken headstock pic, you can see the frets were pretty worn as well. They repaired the HS, redressed the frets, completely redressed the fretboard( it was a little rough from the factory-mill marks and such in the higher frets now all glassy smooth), put on the Grovers and a new bone nut (which they sourced and installed) and shipped it back from OH to me, FedEx in VA for $527 complete!!! turned the lights off and hit it with a black light, and the finish is only discernable in one small spot where it was blended with the good part of the neck. Even matched the bluish opacity of the back of the body. I was really impressed with the whole thing! I bought it off the rack in '93. it had been rode hard and put away wet. It now only has princess years ahead. ahaha

If you don't have/use BOSS Tone Studio or Katana Librarian; get it.
You don't really get the good stuff until you can access the sneaky amps and the EQs.
I'm using Katana Librarian, Airstep KAT footswitch and Mission Engineering EP-1 expression pedal.

has anyone had any direct experience with Dylan pickups? He has a YT channel Dylan Talks Tone. Intriguing, but I am curious if anyone has tried them?
He seems to know his stuff. But I have been duped in the past. haha

I like Polyphia a lot, but not as much as I used to. They have a very unique sound, but it became kind of predictable. If a new Polyphia song came out, you already knew it was going to be a trap beat with a ton of hybrid picking. I admire the talent, but I like their older stuff, like Champagne, Crush, and James Franco, a lot more. Different strokes, I suppose. I think I got worn out on hybrid picking when it became popular.
