Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

More beef! I found some 40" MT that weigh similar to the 39“ bfg. I definitely need a rear end and a house/garage to store all this stuff lol. Not that I could do any of this kit justice, but I'm glad it's in the right hands now.

 

Rebuilt my EMF uniballs, I just made my own tool to press them out after taking the snap ring off. Then I cleaned the uniball cup and uniball body with brake cleaner and scotch brite on a die grinder bit. Then took the Allen head set screw out. Took the cap off cleaned out all the old grease and dirt from in there. Then reassembled all and re greased. Getting uniball back in was a dick.

I think it was just a loose body mount. But the uniballs has about a 1/4” of play lol. Not fun.

 

Do you mean the uniball has a 1/4” of free play like “slop “ ? IE: it is moving in the cup ?

 

Yes, I'll try and get a video I only did one side yesterday. It was up and down play which is better than side to side because it Was fixed by adjusting the cap

What can I say I'm a bad influence. He's just smarter to do it with good parts instead of stock parts

 

I wonder how feasible it would be to drill a hole in the uniball cup for accessing the set screw. At that point you’d be able to rebuild and adjust them right on the truck. Unless I’m missing something.

Yeah, that simplifies things a ton. And who doesn’t like simple?

 

I'm excited about a frame stiffener kit. Particularly the section from the back of the slider to the axle crossmember, and DCLB.

Not sure about others, but I would like to see your implementation of a trans/transfercase skid plate arrangement that integrates with the engine/ifs skid in the LCA kit. Lighter weight, and with tube supports in the right spots, easy on/off. That might be a simpler project and squeeze it into those larger projects/goals you are working on?
