Will there every be another Mini Series like Band of Brothers or the Pacific?

Title states question....you guys think there ever will be???

I really liked both, Band of Brothers more so......but do you guys think that we will see an HBO mini-series about another war in our country's history??

Nat Geo is showing some good WWII shows... Or was it HC, I don't remember. Damn

 

HC was showing WWII in HD, which was friggin badass real footage remastered to HD.....pretty amazing to see the true faces of the men who defended this country, instead of actors

I bought Generation Kill the other day, which is a 7 part mini-series from HBO....I have to say it really was a great series... it all just seemed so accurate, how i would expect a marine division to be, 5 stars from me

 

I would love too see another series like those. I would imagine something will be done with the current conflict going on.

Its not a mini series but check out Restrepo. Real footage from the Korengal following a year of one platoon.

 

+3 for Generation Kill, The series is supposed to non-fiction. It is Even Wrights story of traveling with First Recon.

 

yeah, i really enjoyed Gen Kill...... I've heard rumors that HBO is in the making of doing two 10 part mini-series....one about the bombing of hiroshima and nagasaki...and one about the african tour of WWII

 

pacific doesnt even compare to band of Brothers or generation Kill

 

I think that they are all good in their own sense....it just seems like more time was spent making Generation Kill and Band of Brothers.....I liked the Pacific, but I have to admit, it did seem like they kind of rushed production
