Sorry the "race" is in Idaho. I'm in Oklahoma. Eagle Idaho. Sorry for the confusion. Chuck and I would be excited if you ended up at the race instead of the "Moose" place.

Good morning everybody. Enjoy your Saturday!

It rained on us last night (again) and more expected after noon. My weeds are about knee high but at least we are out of the drought stage for my area.

Andy, how’s the toe and ankle?

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Morning all. Back from the land of Covid and an accompanying sinus infection that lasted the better part of three weeks. Today, start trying to catch up on three weeks of things I didn't have the energy to do. Starting with detailing two cars and the Taco which are all in need of a deep clean. Tomorrow the truck goes to Toyotas and Coffee, then resume the 100k mile maintenance on that and the new to me Passat TDI this week. Really liking 45+ mpgs!

I forgot to turn off my 5:30 alarm that I have set for the weekdays so to get my grandson up for school. I probably would have been up by 6 a.m. anyway.

Just finished replacing all my smoke alarms. They’re all wired together, and last week one up by our bedroom went bad just before 6:00 am and .. when one goes off they ALL go off! Geesh. Anyway went online and researched as I always do, and bought new photoelectric alarms for the house (turns out there’s a bit of difference in smoke alarms, and we used to get lots of “cooking” alarms from the old ones). Hope these work better and last longer than the last ones, they only lasted about 5 years.

    Morning moose update. Nada.
But I did see a spot on the grass along the river that was all matted down. Something stopped for a snooze last night!
And I got to watch a trout feeding frenzy. Never seen that before. Stopped along the river and 1 fish jumped. Then another. And another. 50 yard stretch of river just alive with little fishies jumping over and over. Pretty cool.
