Did you end up with their SAE fogs? I bought a set for my 4runner and the lens is way darker than that for amber.

I waited maybe 24 hours on mine and they've been fine.

Today I waxed it with Collinite 845. Only had it for 2 weeks and did a few little things.

    1. Wife always her big drink mug with her, puts it where USB sticks out. I went to ebay and got a right angle adapter. Covers the wireless charger switch but I don't use that. If I need the 12v I unplug it.
    2. Dog Hammock for big hound is a must for me, slobber resistant headrest covers.
    3. Mud guards. My offroading will be camping, fishing. Nothing major.
    4. Rural King mat in the bed, works well keeping things from sliding.
    5. Vinyl gutter guard behind grill. I've done this to my last 6 vehicles. Never had an issue and it stops big stuff from getting where you don't want it.
    6. Rear step mods so the big hound doesn't get his long legs behind the step.
    7. Got this Ultra Flex bed cover on Craigslist for $125! They retail for around $1,100. I love the way it fits and opens.

I like the idea. Something has to be pretty small to get past the screen and impact the radiator. Nice.
Curious, what means did you use to secure it in place? Taking a second look, I see the zip ties, but I mean on the ends. :pccoffee:

I used black zip ties. They're visible on the pic, In person you wouldn't know they were there.

That's odd. When did Toyota start that practice? I bought mine at the end of March last year. Dealer changed my oil @ 5K, no charge.

    Hmm, quote link didn't work -- it's https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...3rd-gen-today.399305/page-12156#post-27748710

Pardon my ignorance, but if these cat thieves are already under the vehicle with a battery-powered grinder (possibly with a cut-off wheel,) what's to keep them from grinding off the heads of the atttachment bolts to drop the cat shield? Or is it just a situation of "that takes too much time and noise, so they'll move on to easier pickings"?

they’re the ss3 pods with the yellow lens, I haven’t seen the new sae fogs in person yet.

It’s the Amber combo lens, works really well on dirt roads around here.

Oh, on the ends there is a plastic bracket that runs vertically about the height of the grill, I just tucked it between that and the grill.
Did you get your truck yet? I recognize your avatar from the waiting thread.
