Price for Stryker differs based on if just the tune pack is purchased versus a customer having the truck tuned for them, just like on the NA side. There are people who are not comfortable doing it themselves for various reasons.

If someone already has VFTuner, they don't need to purchase a kit, they can just get the tune pack. This kit bundle is an option available to people who are starting with nothing and would like to tune themselves without having a tuner do it for them, or they just aren't close to an available YotaWerx tuner.

Update for the FI/MagSC folks; the Stryker 87mm pulley tune testing is just about wrapped up and will release soon. There have been no changes to the pricing structure announced previously for this option/upgrade. When swapping back and forth between 90 and 87mm pulleys, a noticeable difference in the low end and mid range in particular has been noted

Aftermarket fuel rails (credit to @JamesT ) are getting installed right now and tuning on those will begin immediately as well.

These rails are going to provide a superior tuned fueling condition, and we already have proof of concept for this purpose. The nature of the stock fueling system *could* cause some excessive wear over time as well as not provide an optimal level of performance that is otherwise generally expected from a supercharger.

Remaining on the stock system is not detrimental or anything, and nobody should feel as if this is a modification that is mandatory to run their supercharger safely with their YotaWerx tune. However, this is a set of parts that can enable a reduction of unnecessary wear, possibly yield improved fuel economy (which is of course still subject to several variables), and still provide improved performance when paired with a safe and effective tune.

We're looking forward to working with these rails!

Stay tuned, and thank you all for the support we continue to receive from the community.

Nothing scheduled at the moment but yes I'd like to. Just need to be done early in the morning because of ambient summer temps if it's done soon.

anybody have adjectives that could accurately capture the degree of complexity for installing a fuel rail? I had my SC installed at a shop. Does the whole thing have to be removed?

Yes. The full rail nests just above the heads. The S/C and other bits need to get out of the way.

The blower portion of the install is really easy. Removing the blower and intake manifold is very easy. The blower is heavy so you want to be prepared to either have help or be lifting a heavy chunk of aluminum while in an awkward position. It’s doable with one person I would just caution you to be careful when lifting the blower.

I did the SC install alone and this was by far one of the most awkward/difficult steps of the install. That blower is heavy and holding that in place while setting the hardware was a pain. Especially after spending so many hours in a bent postion before getting to this step. But doable none the less.

Once you get past the supercharger blower and upper intake it's a breeze (unless you are building your own plumbing). I've done this multiple times now and can do a full swap start to finish in a little over an hour with the factory intake. First time with supercharger maybe 2-3 hours.

It's pretty easy. This is definitely something that can be done at home with basic tools. I will release instructions for the rails once ready to ship.

The worst part is if you have an early top cover like my SC. Then you have to clean off the old RTV, degrease, and then reapply new rtv and wait 12hrs or so for it cure before you drive. The later covers with gaskets are much better…

Oh gezzzzz…….and I purchased the Stryker tune just two days ago.

But ya know what???? It doesn’t bother me in the least!

The support mZiggy (and tonered) gave me during the whole process is worth TEN times that discount.

But seriously, if you’re still perusing this thread trying to decide about purchasing a tune don’t be concerned about customer service. These guys are top notch.

Testing out the new fuel rail by JamesT as he installed it today. And wow.....there is an immediate difference in response. It's very obvious how the oem fuel rail chokes out the engine based on delivery (linear delivery cylinder 1-6) .....the new rail delivers to both sides simultaneously. Paired with the YW tune It's more than worth it. I would actually put this fuel system on a NA engine to be honest. It's just the best quality design and material used. Taking the SC off isn't as bad as everyone thinks but making sure you torque correctly back matters. I'll continue to test, but I can tell you it's an instant winner.

Btw, I would bet that JamesT has the fastest taco on TacomaWorld! I'm putting money on that statement!! Badass!!!!!

What I love about these rails that has me super excited for tuning with them (besides how pretty everything is) is that these benefits are being seen immediately following install, without the accompanying adjusted tune on-board. Meaning that with the tune appropriately adjusted for them, the trucks will be running even stronger and smoother.
