If the rain holds off, I was thinking of making ribs outside. This time I was thinking of making the sauce using ketchup as the base.

Anyone else plan cooking out today?

Hey @kamakazie_1 you ever heard of or met a guy named Pat Scannon? Just finished a book recounting his hunt for a bunch of B24's that were shot down in the Pacific. Pretty interesting all he went through to find them.

So here's the Submarine. USS Batfish and it's in Muskogee Oklahoma. (Ft. Gibson really). Strange thing about this Sub is apparently they had some flooding back in 2019 and it refloated the Sub and moved it 4'. FEMA came in and said it was a damaged building and said no one could go aboard until they moved it back. Ah, it's a Submarine. You're not moving it anywhere without water. LOL.

Is it still closed, or have they moved it back on the blocks and reopened it? Those WWII subs are way too small for my liking.

Still closed. They are small and SSN'S are not much bigger. LOL. SSBN's have the most but all are a challenge to those who like windows. LMAO
I did 63 different upkeeps on SSN's and never got tired of visiting and was glad to leave.

Yup, cut my teeth as a civilian FCS tech for the shipyard up here on USS Jack (605), did half my 35 years doing FCS on various classes there (went into IT for the other hlaf), but my favorite was SSN 614 USS Greenling, got a sea trails on that one! 614 was the last sub we put out with a fully* operational ‘leveling’ computer in torpedo room. Highest respect for the sailors who serve on subs.
