Goodmorning crew. I'm still kicking, just been busy at work with outage fast approaching, running the wife to various appointments. They did another lung biopsy Tuesday and result was negative not cancer.

Yesterday replaced all the ball joints on that old Dodge and a new shock....the other side we have yet to get it free from the lower control arm.

Oh, also made adjustment to the band on that transmission and looks like it was still a little low on fluid. Man I sure hope the final outcome of that rebuild is successful.

 

Those shocks have to be pushed down after you remove the bolt on the bottom. The gap at the top of the bolt bracket is too narrow to pull the shock end up.

Push the shock down then to the right or left.

If it's another issue, disregard.

 

Did that cat stick around? Does it have a name yet?

You just reminded me, my plant outage is just 4 weeks away!!!!!

 

Hey fellas! Oh so happy this thing shifts as it should now! It was little low on fluid but I think the main difference was the band adjustment was too loose by a full turn.
My cousin is about to make the journey home with it approximately 55 miles
I ask him pose for a picture, took one then said no wait, suck in that gut for a laugh.

 

Good Job now you have a side job .

Lots of Dodge Trucks need transmission work.

 

Several lessons learned on this one!
I suppose if a good deal come about on a truck with a bad transmission then I might consider it but I don't exactly have the ideal shop for it and wouldn't want guarantee responsibility for someone else's.
