I have never cleaned the engine bay on my Tacoma, It's not that dirty, covered in dust. I can't recall cleaning the engine bay of any vehicle.

I like a clean engine bay.

I changed my mind. I'm going to clean exactly half of my engine bay.

    Suck it, everyone.

I figure that the dirt removal from that side will help offset the Taco Lean.

    I never clean mine.
I only clean it if I have to replace a part.
And then, I only clean that section I’m working on.

When I first got my truck I never cleaned the engine bay. Now that my truck is older & grime builds up I clean pretty regularly, especially if I'm gonna do some work on it.

No distributor so there's no need to really cover anything unless you have stuff removed or bad seals. I spray foamy degreaser on when the engine is warm (not hot). I'll spray the heavy duty degreaser on areas that are caked. Wait 5-10 minutes, then hose it off (not pressure wash). Then I blow excess water off & start the engine right after. I always do it this way except on my old car I had to cover the distributor & other little things that needed to be.

Not the last time I cleaned it but it's the only time I've ever took a pic. I cleaned it just a few weeks ago but this time I took the skid plate off & degreased as much as I could from the bottom cause I needed to replace the LCA bushings. Man that shit was filthy, never used degreaser underneath before.
