I'm thinking of going over to Mint Mobile and just getting some gratuitously extra phone to use on it. I really want a nothing phone.

i've heard pretty good things about mint, who do you use now?

I'm thinking about switching to google fi for better coverage in the mountains. VZW is surprisingly terrible in the high country lol

I have Verizon right now. I will say it has been the best coverage I've ever had and I know that if I go to T-Mobile (mint) it will be shittier guaranteed. TMobile is absolute shit out of urban areas. But for the price I dunno that it's worth keeping the VZW anymore and frankly, my work pays for another phone that I have with me most of the time and it is on VZW

You guys already know I'm pretty fond of spiders, tarantula's specifically.

But when it comes to something like say...a real-life black widow, I can't stand to look at one

It's like a lotus pod...it just disturbs me lol

Pretty sure you, me, and Ryan had a conversation about that one day.

We have lots of giant house spiders, black windows, wolf spiders, and common garden fuckers here. It's spider season right now so every morning I go check on my bros keeping the basement free of pests.

TMobile merged with Sprint and got way better coverage wise, we were with Sprint and had no complaints (now we're T-Mobile I guess).

Damn...yeah not a fan of any of those

I'm really happy that we've got a ton of those little lizards all over our backyard as they keep the bug population down, in conjunction with our pest control.

You don't have any issues with rodents or anything I hope?

T-Mobile here, and it's great everywhere we are especially in our little town.

Once in a while you might see a mouse outside but the neighbors cats are on constant duty according to my Ring cameras. Never seen any rodents in the house, only bugs, and usually only in the basement.

I got that once from RCN for my cable internet. RCN was actually a great provider (US-based customer service, minimal BS around pricing and contracts), but they have a graduated pricing system. Something like "$30/mo for your first year, $40 for your second, $50 from then on". I once got a mailer advertising the current promo rate while I was on year 2 of my service, so I asked them to honor it. They said "as a valued existing customer, you're on the best pricing plan available to you". The rep I talked to did seem to imply that I should talk to the accounts department and threaten to cancel if I wanted to get on the new pricing plan, so I still chalked it up as better-than-average customer service.

I'm on Ting Mobile, which is another T-Moble MVNO. Service has been just okay in my experience. I keep thinking of switching but... it works well enough and is cheap enough. A buddy of mine in Chicago has Mint and has been happy with it--he says all the account reminders and whatnot come as voice mail from Ryan Reynolds.

The big thing to watch for with an MVNO is that you might not have the same roaming agreements that the main carriers have. If you wander out of T-Mobile territory, you just don't have service. Most of Nebraska is a dead zone for me.

Last I checked, Google Fi's network-hopping feature only worked with Android. Without that, it's just another MVNO like any other. Network-hopping is brilliant, but I like my iPhone too much.

Get rid of mill scale (metal was super thin already)

    Wipe with acetone

Fire up torch and run a few beads

Seems like a pain in the ass versus just pulling a trigger :luvya:
