Decided to take the Buell out to grab a few pictures for some other forum tag games.





Looks like the last ride on this one for a while. Right fork seal is leaking pretty badly. Need to look into ordering parts and see if I can do this at home or if I need to get someone to do them for me.

 

On my second ferry trip of the day. The road in between wasn't too exciting but it was still a good smooth ride. It's too bad I couldn't get any pictures across the Hood Canal bridge because that was gorgeous.



Notice the IBA tags on the Triumph in the last picture. I can't imagine doing coast to coast on a 50cc in 50 hours.

Edit: Just realized that it looks like quality after upload doesn't have enough detail to see the tags but the Triumph next to me has a IBA 50cc Quest and IBA Bun Burner Gold tag on it.

 

Nice ride yesterday to 211 between Luray and Sperryville, a great mountain road with a bunch of decreasing radius turns that'll catch you out real quick!

Came home and changed out the stator rotor since the OEM one has open magnets GLUED into place! A well known issue with the FZ1 that Yamaha doesn't cover if/when the magnets break loose...

 

Wow, bike offroad is tiring. Im beat. Slowest in the group.

The dude on the CRF spent half the ride laughing at you guys struggling with the big heavy bikes.

 

I got soaked Thursday. I was deeeeeeeep in some trails by myself and got a little lost. I tried to hit some trails I hadn't been on in years and made some rookie mistakes. Then it started down pouring and I just pointed myself West, started slamming hillclimbs and puddles back the way I came from. Worked out fine. Its like being at the bottom of a swimming pool, you cant get any more wet

 

Thats me. Farkle em up boys!!! You’ll see how much the weight sucks when i’m buzzing around like an absolute fool as soon as we’re off pavement

I think what's beating me is im not standing at 70 on the highway to get there. I need a taller windscreen and different/wider pegs

1h45m ride on interstates to get to trails. Plus medium sized gravel and washouts on hill climbs, that im not used to yet. We passed a bunch of campsites and im thinking, i want to sleep

 

As long as you had fun! And learned something!

 

Me and the CRF were the slowest. Im not st the point of doing 50+ on gravel.

the built T7 was leading after we got to the meet point.

@w.adventures he said it was underwhelming. And it was built - different forks, wheels, tank, etc

 

I was trying to copy the GS guy with body position on the switchbacks. Maybe i need to take a class with @4x4Runner

 

Yeah, the T7 is just a basic bike that works. It’s no rocket, but has way more power than a Grom.

Fuck me, 10 acres and a 3bed, 2.5ba, 2 car garage around here would be $750k+, at least.

 

Gotta look in the "country" haha. To be honest, not close to a town.. i think gotta drive 30+ minutes to get to a home depot haha.

$750k where I am gets you a 1/4 acre townhouse with a 2 car garage and 3500 sq ft. 3 bed 2 bath.

 

I'm in a town of maybe 35k surround by wheat and canola fields, I'm practically the definition of country but really all the surrounding farms combined with the like 3% annual town growth and housing developments going in make finding any kind of acreage nearby practically impossible. Housing prices here are just absolutely stupid

 

He pretty much is in the country. On this side of the state my 3 (tiny) bd, 2 bath, 1.5 car garage, 1150 sqft rambler on 1/4 acre is showing worth $650k. Anything that size would be $1m+ easy.
