I just found the two bulk boxes I shot last weekend cleaning out the truck bed and realized they both were 1280fps.

It was about 90 degrees out last weekend when I was shooting which means the speed of sound was about 1150fps that day according to the NOAA calculator.

    https://www.weather.gov/epz/wxcalc_speedofsound

I’m gonna have to play with some different ammos to see if I can find something other than subs that stay subsonic in the 10/22. I have a few boxes of standard velocity that are 1080fps so I’ll have to try those next time. The binary trigger is super fun with the can but it doesn’t love to cycle subs.

Does receiving count as apart of the purchase? Finally got my vudoo 360 22lr yesterday and got to put it on paper yesterday afternoon. imagejpeg_0(15).jpg imagejpeg_0(14).jpg
    .26 was after getting zeroed.
    .22 was the next group.

Both are 5 shot groups at 50 yards with sk long range. I'm excited to get this barrel seasoned and ready for competition.

I specifically avoided the GSG due to several bad reviews. The Umarex/HK reviews are for the most part, stellar.

I saw a bit of positivity about them basically around being fun to shoot. I saw more negativity though around how hard they are to clean and how a lot of the polymer parts loosen or aren’t very sturdy.

What you have pictured is a “storage” plug not a split fix. The split fix is an improved Velcro strap that prevents the split section of brace from separating when shouldered. In the realm of modifying braces the split fix is much less likely to be considered turning a brace into a stock (which a butt plug definitely does)

    this is a split fix:

Got me a 1943-1944 FN model 1922 at a gun show yesterday. Pretty decent shape for a Nazi occupied Belgium built model though it’s definitely a parts bin gun. Nice addition to my planned pre 1950s “pocket” pistol collection

Here’s a photo of the fn1922 with my much nicer 1920 Remington 51. The 51 is the nicest pistol I’ve ever shot. I prefer it over my Kimber Micro. Remington perfected the carry pistol in 1918 everything after has just been trying to catch up. They couldn’t even match it with the newer R51 lol:)343DE6F9-64E3-4EE2-978F-1B7459F5AC7E.jpg

Finally found some 2.5" .410 ammo at a decent price. $18 for a box of 25 rounds of Federal target. Also picked up some Hornady Defense rounds.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
To be honest, it is an experiment. When I installed the magwell I noticed there's quite a hollow space in the backstrap so I hotglued some tungsten weights inside to see what happens. I like heavy guns for "competition". I shoot handloads - heavy bullets and slow powder - with a 15# recoil spring. Much different animal than in stock form.

It’s a .380. It’s tricky to take down until you learn the tricks. Guns of that era had to get creative to avoid paying royalties on patents! You can use the heel of the mag as a tool to strip it down. Once you get the barrel out you can use it to remove the grips. After you do it a dozen times it becomes second nature, but there’s a learning curve.

This fn 1922 could be field stripped by a monkey without fingers. Europeans didn’t have to hide from the patents as much.

which is why I stuck with my Colt M1903 in .32. So much easier to work with.

The pocket hammerless is a neat pistol. I’d love one, but they are spendy.

For me the recoil and ergonomic characteristics of the Remington 51 are unmatched though and well worth spending an extra 45 seconds for takedown and cleaning.
