I need to bring in some dirt and put over some roots, the trees are on the neighbors property but the roots are in our yard and have washed over the years. Some have nice flat spots on top :anonymous:

They were on the ZT, probably 2 seasons worth of hard service, they were actually worn enough to be shorter than the new ones.

I actually had to bump my mower deck up a 1/2" to avoid most of the rocks around my place. Replacing bent mower blades is expensive.

The original blades on the ZT were made of a material similar to tinfoil, just not as strong.

They were a multi bend kind of thing, I believe you could discharge and mulch with the same blade.
I purchased probably 20 sets and even kept a spare set in the truck.
They would sometimes bend without touching anything but grass, suddenly you are making whirly marks in the yard.

A few years ago I discovered these, although they are a CC blade they aren't called out for my machine and I had run the deck 1 notch higher. I can now get 2 seasons without bending a blade. :)

20220827_124549.jpg About a month ago I cleared off a couple acres in this spot, I never seeded it because of the exceptional drought we have been experiencing. Fast-forward 30 days and almost 8in of rain during that period, I can't believe the growth I got from the native grasses and plants, just incredible.

    Musta got some rain.

I'd be afraid to start a grass fire around here.

The ground thanks you when you throw a whiz on it.

    Got this one back.

Replaced a head gasket on it a year ago. Should have done both at the time. I will from now on.

    Customer needed a mower asap.

I said I'd trade you for one I presently have for sale.

    He said "deal!"

The one I gave him is 10 years older but has 1000 less hours, so he was fine with that.

He told me likes my work and really likes knowing someone like me that can keep his shit running. I guess that's a compliment.

We had some here that was a store brand, I fought with it every time, it wouldn't stick to dishes and the like . Naturally (cheapskate that I am) I used it all up and got some Glad brand -- what a difference.

Lesson: Buy name brand cling wrap, your blood pressure is worth it. ;)

Appreciate that. Yearly avg is 29in, we have received a bit over 13inches so far this year and we got half the yearly rainfall last year.

There are still a few areas that didn't get much at all. Prayers to them.

We have pretty good amount of rain chances for this next week, fingers crossed we continue to get rain.
