That sounds like the sticker I had on mine that I removed. Does it say something about a lifetime warranty?

No, just a small 1x1 inch or so with just the name on it.

That was a really good deal, know the type of film it is? I was quoted $1100 out the door from a local shop for Xpel Ultimate for the same coverage you have, minus the rockers. There are a few guys that do it on the side out of their home garage, or will come to you as well; I just worry about a hack job. I've heard horror stories of cuts all over the paint.

That is a very real worry. It is not a myth, it happens quite a bit, but you won’t know it most times till years later when you pull it off.

Also, if you leave it on waaaay to long it may have yo be sanded off.

My post (#2) in this thread stated my PP was added at the port. I disagree with the post that said distributor options are "cheap". Mine was well installed and held up well until I parked one day under a tree and something spotted the hood and top of the truck. The spots came off easily from the exposed paint but would not come out of the PP on the hood and grill cowling. That's when i decided to remove it. It was a "bitch" to remove but left no discoloration on the paint. Sold the truck (16') shortly thereafter and told the dealer I would not accept the truck if it came on the 20'. Truck is garaged daily and since the truck is white, I can easily touch up a rock chip which fortunately after 9K miles has not occurred.

What I find interesting with the product is that it is supposed to protect the paint, but the product has failed while the paint below the area with the discoloration is fine. Maybe they should paint the paint protector so it is protected.

Curious cause I too am on the fence with PPF (ceramic coating 100% worth it though imho), did you go with any PPF for the vette / taco even aftermarket? I know from my prior experience I ended up with chips in all sorts of random a** places that most dont PPF so to me it almost seems pointless.

No, I just could not justify the cost of PPF and so far it's paid off as I haven't had any stone chips or damage to either vehicles.

Thanks for the reply. I do some highway driving so I’m debating it.
