does anyone know if the rtx leaf pack, option 1 would work well with these(struts only)and instead of an AAL? With the 2" setting up front... Im getting some sliders that are on order already and most likely a snug top type camper shell within the next year... original plan was to go 6112/5160 but my budget is saying probably not and probably overkill anyways...

The front would be fine if you don’t have a bumper up front since they just use the stock springs. The rear shocks would be too short with those leaf springs- even a 1.5” add a leaf is pushing it with these shocks

I already had a heritage grille replica and didn't like the idea of a block lift for the cost. So, I bought just the shocks for $460 w/ tax and shipping. Installed these and headstrong off-road 3 leaf aals in the rear. Looks great on the long bed, rides great so far. I'll have to update when it's settled in.

Are dealers selling just the struts? If so, are these the parts you need:
    PT84K-35220 (hardware)
    PTR13-35210 (struts)

Anyone running this lift with yokohama geolander 255/85/16 tires? Would this lift kit even work with these tires?

was wanting to mount them on these rims

Good Friday post. Not too obvious, but gets it in there. Check out this if this is actually a real question.

Am I correct in assuming I can but these parts and install the lift myself? Just need to do alignment afterwards? Anyone else buy just these pieces and do the install themselves?

Yep, a handful of us. Pretty simple install. I'd recommend the alignment after.

Interesting - 3 weeks ago I talked to the dealer on my truck. We discussed the lift - might do it when it comes in. At that time 2050 - installed. (give or take, was on their website).

We're getting close to delivery I think and I was trying to come up with just want I want - do I want to do the lift or not? Decided I wanted to do the lift for easy warranty, TSS and a fresh alignment.

Go to dealer's website today and it went up a grand. The parts cost went up 600 bucks on "do it yourself". I'm gonna ask what the hell but that puts me out of getting it from them. For 3k - I'll do it myself and roll the dice on TSS being a pain. 2 inch lift is all I wanted anyway.

For what it's worth, I put on an Eibach kit to get about 2" of lift and haven't had any issues out of my TSS for a couple thousand miles so far. Did absolutely nothing to relocate any sensors or anything.

Good to know. I have no real desire for the TRD grill so there's savings as well. I just wanted the 2 inches for "extra" help on "no rub" tire combos. I'm a fan of skinnies.

I did the TRD shocks , wheelers 1 degree tapered blocks with u-bolts and no vibrations. Tss works fine.

I used No spring compressor, just the weight of the truck method of changing the springs.

    Alignment afterwards.

That is what the dealership was trying to get me to buy. I asked them for biggest tire size and I wasn't thrilled about rocking skinnies

Awesome, thanks for the confirmation. Going to piece this all together and give it a go on my 22 AC. My dad previously had a Tacoma and did an AAL on his, so going have him help out.

Glad I was able to find someone else with a Sport who did this. There is just something about the Sport trim that gave me some hesitation on this. Might bug you with some questions by the way
