KDMax-Pro Tuning--NOW YotaWerx Tuning

Ryan @arghsquared Came in this last week with his 2020 Updated his ECU and flashed Pro+XT with Sport Throttle.

Just upgraded from Pro to XT today, Was on normal throttle and kept that. This is my 3rd update, started on 6.0. Eddie, in Phoenix, is always great to work with, he even provided a recent TSB update so there would not be a chance of the tune getting overwritten in the future.

I can tell everything is still learning as it’s shifting a bit oddly right now, but it’s only been 35 miles since tuning. Will report back after it has a chance to settle in.

 

House call last Monday morning in Carlsbad with Robert @CBAD18Taco. Robert has a 2018 OR we updated his ECU and flashed KDMAX-Pro+XT with Normal Throttle.
Robert took it for a test drive and was impressed with all the improvements.
It was nice meeting you Robert. It was good talking trucks with you.

For anyone who is considering this tune, I must say:

It is practically perfect...
I have been on a normal throttle setting for about 5 k miles.

Made the switch to the sport throttle a tank ago and it is simply outstanding!

Throttle is very linear yet responsive.
Not excessive or jerky.

I wish I would have gone sport throttle much sooner.

This beauty came to us from NY for the lastest and greatest KDMax tune. I was able to get his TSB updated and the tune complete while Jesse Smith got his Tacoma talkin of the day and explained the in and outs of the tune itself. This gentleman was super excited to get an upgrade and was an awesome new customer we got to love their Tacoma even more

With a 2020 Tacoma running 34's, a fitting lift, and a cap on the back, Derick was looking for any sort of improved shifting and get up and go. With a quick TSB and KDMAX Pro+XT (normal throttle) he's now got the moves to fit the looks.

Has a tuned 4cyl been dyno'ed yet? I was emailing Dave at TWTacoTuning a few weeks back and he said not yet. I'm on the fence yet if my 4cyl is even going to cut it on long road trips I have planned, may have to get a V-6. Looking forward to hearing from more 4cyl guys who had the tune

What is the cost of a remote tune if I already have the tatrix 2.0?

I occasionally see postings from competitors that state the KDMAX Pro tunes are a high performance tune, or a great tune for stock trucks but not heavy trucks, and regeared trucks just aren't a good fit. They even compare their current 6th,7th,8th(?) version to our releases from over a year ago. They really are all over the map with what they think KDMAX Pro isn't and seem at a lost for what it is.....the market leader.

It's that way because it is refined by Kreg and Dave, then feedback from us as owners, and then from those we are thankful to have as customers. We all want better Tacos and now 4Runners with Tundras in the scope. We have the tools and growing experience to provide you the best out there. We aren't a 1-and-done offering so if you have any concern or suggestion on improvement we want to hear about it!

Perhaps my only issue with promax

 

Met up with Christian @laughattack in Rialto this morning. We updated his 2021 and flashed KDMAX-Pro+XT with Normal throttle setting. Christian took it for a test drive and was extremely happy with how his truck was transformed. He drives the Cajun Pass often and is looking forward to see how his truck now handles the Pass.
It was good meeting you Christian let us know how your truck did going up and over the Cajun Pass.

 

What's up Dave!? I was left speechless literally a tap on the throttle, it just wanted to take off. It literally feels like the truck is gliding! Gotta say I was impressed going up the Cajon Pass. I was cruising at 70 mph all the way up, just under 2 RPM. Extremely happy . Thanks, Dave!
